1 Mission: Students at Perry Central will ADAPT to an ever-changing world through high expectations to ACHIEVE 100% college and career readiness and SUCCEED as productive citizens. Vision: Our vision at Perry Central high school is 100% of our students will Adapt, achieve, and succeed. Inside 2 3 PCC D Annual PCC Band Homecoming 7 The Commodore Players Honors PCC Guidance Department The Anchor The Perry County Central Newsletter August 31, 2018 Principal s Message I am glad to return to my usual blog where I can showcase and highlight all the achievements in our school. I really hope everyone had an amazing and relaxing summer. We are back to business as usual with the cooperation of our great students and staff. Our enrollment numbers have increased and I expect a successful year. Many activities and sports have already started; in fact, some started before school even came in session. Soccer, football, and volleyball are in full force. The Commodore Players are working on their first production. Several clubs and organizations have met to organize activities. One of the best additions to our curriculum is more college classes for our students. This allows them the opportunity to get college and high school credit which gives them a jumpstart on their college career. Students are taking advantage of these courses and I feel it will also help with our attendance. We have several new faculty members this year so please try to attend any parent teacher conference so you can get to know these wonderful people. This week we administered our first round of the Mastery Prep test to our underclassmen. This is one of the best assessments to prepare students for the ACT assessment. We had a testing makeup session today. Scores should be available in a couple of weeks. I want to thank the students for their behavior and efforts. I know it isn t easy to adjust back to school much less take on a major test. I want to remind everyone there is no school on Monday, September 3 rd. Enjoy your extended weekend and be safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school. Michelle Ritchie Perry County Central Principal Each of you are doing a wonderful job keeping students engaged and showing students you care..keep up the good work! One team.one dream!!! Staying PLA free
