Monday, July 10, 2017, to the Park County Fair Office at 655 East 5 th Street, Powell, WY. TEAM SLOTS FILL UP FAST, SO DO NOT DELAY! Any team failing to report by their designated division time will not be permitted to wrestle. CONTEST DATE: TUESDAY, JULY 25, :00 P.M. YOUTH teams MUST report to the arena by 6:30 P.M. ADULT teams MUST report to the arena by 7:00 P.M.* *Subject to change. Team Captain/Team Parent will be notified. RULES: 1. Sponsors and Team Captains are responsible for the actions of their team. 2. Only ONE parent may accompany the Junior and Intermediate Teams into the contestant area. Pee- Wee Teams are allowed ONE adult per competitor. Contestant passes will be provided to each team. 3. All contestants must sign a release form. Contestants under the age of 18 MUST include parental consent. 4. All required forms MUST be completed before team entry will be accepted. It is recommended but not required to include an alternate(s) on your roster. 5. All contestants MUST wear shirt, pants and shoes (no spikes) for safety purposes. 6. All contestants MUST stay within the designated contestant area. Encroachment onto the wrestling ring which obstructs the view of grandstand spectators or event officials may result in team disqualification, forfeiture of any team winnings, and not allowed to wrestle in the 2018 event. 7. Participants and/ or parents showing disrespect to officials and other teams will be disqualified. Disqualified teams will not be allowed to wrestle in the 2018 Pig Wrestling Event. 8. All contestants MUST stay out of the grandstand seating areas and restrooms following their match. The restrooms located near the Horse Barns have been designated for your use but ONLY after being hosed off. 9. No gloves, spikes or other objects are allowed to assist in catching the pig. 10. No hitting the pig to start or to otherwise harm the animal 11. All rules MUST be adhered to. HOW IT WORKS: 1. Teams consist of four (4) members. 2. Teams are allotted 60 seconds for their wrestling match. 3. All wrestlers must start by placing one hand on the fence at designated location. 4. Barrel must be upright at all times. 5. Pig must be placed in the barrel butt first. 6. All team members must raise both hands in the air to complete the match. 7. All team members must assist in unloading pig from the barrel.
