1 52 nd Annual IOMOTC Convention Rockin Rockford Hosted by: Mothers of Multiples of the Rockford Expanse (MMORE) October 17-19, 2014 Rock Concert LET S GET ROCKED Friday, October 17 th 7:00pm to 12:00am Wallingford Ballrooms 1, 2, and 3 Are you ready to ROCK OUT? Get your leggings, jelly bracelets, bandanas, and the rest of your favorite 80 s hair band concert attire to join your fellow groupies for a totally radical night! Oh, and like, don t forget the hairspray. This totally, way cool night will begin with Opening Ceremonies including the club flag parade. After the ceremonies are complete, an awesome Italian Tuscan buffet will be served. Then, we will turn the lights down and the music up and a totally gnarly live band will take the stage for a rock concert. They will play all the 80 s hair band hits along with some other favorites. Get ready to dance and whip around that big hair! There will be a cash bar for your enjoyment. Be sure to capture the evening with all your groupies in the photo booth and the club photos. The Table Decorating Contest tradition will continue. Show off your knowledge of this wicked time period and your creativity by putting together a Hair Band era inspired centerpiece with your groupies. Luncheon and Installation Banquet 12:15pm to 2:00pm Wallingford Ballroom 1 and 2 The kitchen will be jammin as the chef prepares a totally tubular lunch for you. Choices include a philly steak sandwich, vodka tortellini chicken, or stuffed zucchini. Once lunch is complete, we will conduct some groupie business. Service awards will honor posse members who are celebrating a milestone year with IOMOTC. In addition, there will be some crazy dough changing hands when we recognize scholarship recipients. Then, we will install the rad new leaders of the IOMOTC. Are you down? Finally, Double Blessings will rock our world with their plans for 2015 convention.

2 Keynote Speaker 2:00pm to 3:00pm Wallingford Ballroom 1 and 2 Kelly Epperson Finding your Joy Kelly Epperson, a former IRS agent,now an agent of joy, is the author of 3 books; When Life Stinks, It s Time to Wash the Gym Clothes; 365 Days of Joy How to be Happy Every Single Day; and JOY Droppings, Evidence That Joy Is Everywhere, Every Day, For All of Us. She founded the Happiness Club of Loves Park, a nonprofit community service, and she presents keynotes, training programs, and workshops to a wide variety of corporate, private, and philanthropic groups. Kelly speaks at many conferences and national events including AATH (Association for Applied & Therapeutic Humor) annual conference. Kelly will talk about how to find joy within ourselves and all around us. We can totally take the reins of our own awesome happiness. It is a choice, and a matter of retraining the brain to use its optimism center. Kelly will teach us wicked simple, yet profound, practices we can implement into our everyday lives that will make huge and lasting changes. How fantabulous! Saturday Night Event LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL 6:30pm to 11:00pm Don Carter Lanes 4007 E State St Rockford, IL Your totally outrageous night will start with a dinner buffet including pizza and various appetizers. The buffet will be served from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm in a private room so all our groupies can hang out together. Then, get your posse rounded up to rock the pins for some radical bowling from 7:30pm to 9:00 pm. The first 30 minutes will be regular bowling but it turns gnarly as the lanes switch to cosmic bowling for the final hour. It will be like, a total blast dude! After bowling, you can take the early bus back to the hotel and hang out with your posse in the Eli Terry room playing games or just chillin. Or, you can stay at Don Carter s for the live local band that starts at 9:00pm. The band will be announced closer to the show date, so like, more information will be posted when it s available. Bus transportation provided to ensure you have a totally fun and safe night. Plan to bring along cash for adult beverages as well as non- alcoholic beverages after dinner.

3 Executive Board Meeting Friday/Saturday Meetings Hospitality Suite 1508 Friday, October 17 th 3:00pm to 5:00pm Convention Kick- Off Meeting Friday, October 17 th 5:00pm to 6:00pm Wallingford Ballroom 1, 2, and 3 If you ve been to a concert before, you know correct concert behavior. Pick a performer that you like, at a venue that is convenient, on a date you have available. You know to bring your ticket, an ID, and a small purse for essentials. You also know that having someone with you who doesn t know the rules can be a damper on the group. Going to convention can be like going to a concert. Come to the Kick- Off Meeting to learn the ins and outs to a great convention. Get the secrets on how to make the most of your time away. Find out about each event and get your questions answered by veteran convention attendees. This is open to all first time attendees or those that want a refresher. Rock On! Credentials Ballroom Foyer - 7:45am to 8:30am IOMOTC General Business Meeting - 8:30am to 10:30am and 5 Delegates vote for the new Executive groupies, philanthropic project, budget, and by- laws changes. As a delegate, you can also bring up any concerns or ideas you have to benefit IOMOTC. Make sure you are there to represent your needs and interests - this is what keeps IOMOTC a totally rockin group! Saturday Morning Workshops Yoga 11:15am to 12:00pm Eli Terry Session will be led by Anne Hogan. All experience levels are welcome. Bring your own towel (you can bring one from your room) or a yoga mat if you feel more comfortable. Relaxation 11:15am to 12:00pm Dr. Lisa Breisch, licensed clinical psychotherapist, will lead a relaxation exercise aimed at releasing stress both during the session as well as giving you some techniques for self- relaxation to be able to use in the future. Numerous studies have shown that physical health is tied to mental health so it s important to keep our mind nurtured and balanced to ensure our longevity. Lisa attended the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and earned her Master s degree in 1996 and her Doctorate degree in Dr. Breisch has a cognitive- behavioral, holistic health, and eclectic, integrative orientation. This is epic chillin out! Saturday Afternoon Workshops Joy of Writing 3:30pm to 4:15pm Kelly Epperson, the Keynote Speaker, will lead this workshop focused on helping us write our book, the one that is within each of us. We all have a story worth telling. The effect from telling that story can be profound to our own happiness and success in life. Kelly will provide tools and strategies to move you out of idea overwhelm, and help you break through time constraints and hidden fears to give you the motivation to get started and get it done.

4 Managing Relationships 3:30pm to 4:15pm Maria Kringel has hosted many women s conferences and marriage counseling groups in and around the Rockford area. She is also the Keynote Speaker from the 2014 Spring Workshop. You will learn some tips and tools on how to communicate with your partner and with your main posse more effectively. Sometimes the stress from juggling numerous responsibilities can be a total downer and we neglect the important relationships we have with other adults. Maria will discuss how we can maintain and grow those relationships even through the numerous demands that are put on our daily life. Share Shops SMOMs The Seasoned Mothers of Multiples will share ideas about parenting school age multiples and the vast array of challenges that occur as they grow older. Everyone is welcome regardless of the age of the children. HOMs The Higher Order Multiples will be sharing ideas on how to survive the challenges of having triplets or more. Single Parents The Single Parents of Multiples can share ideas and encouragement about how to juggle the needs of your multiples. Special Needs The Parents of Special Needs can share the joys and challenges of raising a singleton or multiples with special needs. *This is a great time to make connections with new people and broaden your circle of support and friendship. Sunday Meetings Full Board Transition Meeting October 19 th 9:00am to 10:00am Hospitality Suite 1508 Both outgoing and incoming IOMOTC Executive and Full Board Officers will meet to transition their respective roles, and like, get direction for the upcoming year. This bodacious passing of information ensures we maintain the awesome legacy of the IOMOTC. All Weekend Long Activities Registration Friday: 3:00pm 7:30pm and Saturday: 8:00am 12:00pm Ballroom Foyer Register early so you don t miss out on all the fun- o- rama. It s like the cool thing to do. Paradise City Saturday: 8:00am 5:00pm Vendor Room - Wallingford Ballroom 3 Looking for something unique? How about something crafty or maybe something personalized? The vendor room will be jammin with a fantabulous variety of products. Nothing bogus in here! Don t Stop Believin Friday: 4:00pm 6:00pm and Saturday: 8:00am 12:00pm/3:00pm 5:00pm Raffle Room Wallingford Ballroom 6 There will be some gnarly giveaways you don t want to miss. It will take your ROCKIN to a totally new level! So like, make sure you buy plenty of tickets to give yourself the best chance at winning your awesome favorites.

5 Pour Some Sugar on Me riday: 11:30pm 1:00am and Saturday: 4:00pm 6:00pm/11:00pm 12:30am Hospitality Suite 1512 After rockin all day, you may need to refuel and chill out. Stop by for some bodacious food and refreshment. You can stay to socialize with your posse or keep on rolling. Friday night, the Wallingford Ballroom 1, 2 and 3 will be open after the Rock Concert to provide more space for chillin. Saturday night, the Eli Terry room will be available to accommodate groupies. Dr. Feelgood Spa Room Eli Terry aturday: 1:00pm 5:00pm All rock stars have to relax from time to time. This is, like a wicked opportunity to release your stress with a 15 or 30 minute chair massage or a paraffin wax hand massage. *Note: Pre- registration is available in your registration packet. Discounted rates are available for those who pre- register. It is strongly encouraged that you pre- register because space is limited. If there are remaining openings available the day of convention, they will be posted for you to sign- up at the registration table. The cost will be slightly higher for appointments made the day of convention.
