Nottinghamshire Youth Cricket Under 11 Manager: Paul Bramley Played 12 won 6 was a very satisfying end of season result. There were two stand out batsmen during the season Freddie McCann and Fateh Singh who scored over 230 runs each during the season Fateh Singh scoring two fifties with a highest score of 75 not out against Staffordshire. Batting was not a reliable area overall, shortcomings being in rotation of strike thereby maintaining run-rate and building scores. Zain Ali, Fateh Singh and Qundeel Haider all took over 10 wickets Bowling strength kept totals low leaving reachable batting targets or in defending our own. Nevertheless, excellent individual performances were achieved by Fateh Singh (also highest wicket taker). The Players Player was Freddie McCann for consistency and support behind the stumps. At Stow 28 th May, Norfolk (40 overs) (B Wilcox 49*) Beat Nottinghamshire 92-8 (40 overs) At Calverton CC 7 th June, Nottinghamshire (40 overs) (F Singh 48) Beat Lincolnshire (32.5 overs) (T Lumb 3-8) At Audley CC 21 st June, Nottinghamshire (40 overs) (F Singh 75) Beat Staffordshire 127 all out (38.5 overs) (Qundeel Haider 3-14) At Collingham 28 th June, Yorkshire (40 overs) Beat Nottinghamshire 40 (23.4 overs) all out At Ransom and Marles CC 5 th July Northamptonshire 94-9 (40 overs) Lost to Nottinghamshire 95-4 (27.3 overs) (F Singh 58*) At Shipley Hall CC, 8 th July Nottinghamshire (35 overs) (F McCann 67) Beat Derbyshire (35 overs) At Hanley Castle &Upton CC, 12 th July Nottinghamshire 97 (40 overs) all out Lost to Worcestershire (34.4 overs)

Under 12 Manager: Andrew Claye The Under 12's had a very consistent season with some outstanding performances. The season opened with a win at the beautiful Woodhall Spa CC vs. Lincolnshire. One of the outstanding performances of the season came in the next winning game at Attenborough vs. Derbyshire. Raheem Ahmed scored 104, the best individual batting performance of the year. The tightest win of the season was away vs. Cheshire at Bunbury, where we scraped home by 5 runs. We lost the next game against a very strong Lancashire team who comfortably knocked off a low batting total. The team batted better, but still lost against another traditionally strong county, Warwickshire, on a red hot June day at Kinoulton CC. The game against Leicestershire saw the team bounce back with a very strong win. A trip to Halesowen to play Worcestershire ended in a win. We compiled 144 and bowled them out comfortably for 96. We learned a valuable lesson at Collingham against Norfolk where we failed to bat the overs. They scraped a win with one over to spare. We scored 162 against Staffordshire. Sam Kaye picked up their first 5 wickets for 17 runs, limiting them to 102 all out. A tough fixture against Yorkshire at Goosedale started well with Nottinghamshire bowling them out for 131. However, at 34 for 1 at 12 overs the match was happily abandoned by Yorkshire B's due to rain. The first game at LSC Festival at Oundle playing London Schools saw Rehan Ahmed top score with 90, and then he bowled 5 for 21 with a fantastic match winning catch by Ewan Laughton. We beat Bedfordshire and Leicestershire to reach the final against Yorkshire A's. Notts scored 135 with Rehan Ahmed top scoring again with 58. An outstanding fielding display bowled Yorkshire out for 63. Rehan Ahmed was voted the player of the tournament, and Jonny Lawrence won the bowling award. Winning the LSC Festival at Oundle was a fantastic conclusion to a great season.

The highest run scorers for the season were Rehan Ahmed with 423, Will Duncan (Captain) with 304 and Raheem Ahmed with 279. Jonny Lawrence finished with 32 wickets and Sam Kaye 19 wickets for the season At Woodhall Spa 13th May, Nottinghamshire 145 all out (40 overs) (A Sama 44) Beat Lincolnshire 92 all out (33.1) (J Lawrence 4-12 & R Ahmed 3-5) At Attenborough 3rd June, Nottinghamshire 217 for 6 (40 overs) (R Ahmed 104) Beat Derbyshire 172 for 9(40 overs) (Q Haider 4-19) At Bunbury cc 18th June, Nottinghamshire 144 all out (40 overs) (R Ahmed 35) beat Cheshire 139 for 9 (45 overs) (J Lawrence 4-21) At Clifton cc 24th June, Nottinghamshire 101 all out (39 overs) (R Ahmed 25) lost to Lancashire 102 for 2 (25.2 overs) At Kinoulton 30th June, Warwickshire 215 for 3(40 overs) (R Ahmed 2-26) beat Nottinghamshire 127 for 7(40 overs) (W Duncan 47) At Witham Hall School 8th July, Leicestershire 122 all out (39.3 overs) (J Lawrence 4-6) lost to Nottinghamshire 123 for 2(23.1 overs) (R Ahmed 42) At Halesowen 15th July, Nottinghamshire 144 for 7(40 overs) (B Martindale 33) beat Worcestershire 94 all out (36.5 overs) (J Lawrence 2-4) At 17th July, Nottinghamshire 127 all out (37.1 overs) (C Lawrence 34) lost Norfolk 128-8(38.4 overs) (R Ahmed 2-18) At Notts and Arnold Cricket Club 21st July, Middlesex 195 for 6(45 overs) (D Hollingsworth 2-13) beat Nottinghamshire 195 for 6(45 overs) 22nd July, Nottinghamshire 162 for 6(45 overs) (W Duncan 34) beat Staffordshire 102 all out (S Kaye 5-17) At Notts and Arnold Cricket Club 29th July between Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire match was abandoned 4th August, Nottinghamshire 145 all out (43.2 overs) (W Duncan 31) beat Bedfordshire 62 all out (34.1 overs) (S Kaye 3-11) Under 13 Manager: Chris McGlen The team started the season strongly and after a loss in the first game went on to win six of their next seven games, a performance which was to earn the side a place in the final of English Schools Cricket Association Northern Counties Competition. This was the first time a Nottinghamshire side had made it to the final of this competition

which was held at Woodhouse Grange in late August; unfortunately, Yorkshire proved just too strong on the day. The side were involved in some very close games and perhaps some of the more memorable were; the one run win against Cheshire achieved with a run out off the penultimate ball following a direct hit by Captain Will Bircumshaw. The victory over Staffordshire saw Notts defending a meagre 115 and when Staffs were 95-5 things looked a little bleak; however, a spell of 6 for 9 from Luke Grantham Woodhouse saw Notts win by 11 runs. The season saw some fine individual performances, leading the batting was opener Ben Lumb with an aggregate of 450 runs, which included five fifties and a top score of 93. Opening bowler Ishraj Jandu was leading wicket taker taking 24 wickets at an average of 12.9, with his best performance of 5-19 coming in the abandoned game against Middlesex. At Woodhall Spa 20th May, Nottinghamshire 151 for 9(40 overs) (G Blatherwick 40) lost to Lincolnshire 154 for 5(37.4 overs) (G Blatherwick 2-5) At Collingham CC 24th may, Nottinghamshire 148 for 5(40 overs) (B Lumb 64) beat Cambridgeshire 143 for 6(40 overs) (E Martin 3-35) At Southwell 2nd June, Derbyshire 69 all out (33.4 overs) (H Butcher 3-6) lost to Nottinghamshire 70 for 1(19.4 overs) (S Menzhausen 28) At Papplewick & Linby 10th June, Nottinghamshire 115 all out (38.3 overs) (S Menzhausen 40) beat Staffordshire 104 all out (31.4 overs) (E Hunte 3-15) At Calverton cc 21st June, Nottinghamshire 161 all out (42 overs) (T Booth 49) beat Cheshire 160 all out (44.4 overs) (I Jandu 3-25) At Rugby School 24th June, Nottinghamshire 186 for 8(45 overs) (B Lumb 74) beat Warwickshire 177 all out (43.4 overs) (G Blatherwick 3-31) At Stretford cc 1st July, Lancashire 156 for 8 (40 overs) (B Lumb 2-10) beat Nottinghamshire 131 all out (34.4 overs) (W Bircumshaw 40) At Radcliffe On Trent CC 8th July, Leicestershire 115 all out (30.1) (E Martin 4-19) lost to Nottinghamshire 117 for 3(21.1 overs) (B Lumb 66) At Carlton 12th July, Yorkshire 220 for 5(45 overs) (S Burton 3-30) beat Nottinghamshire 138) (S Menzhausen 66) At Feckham cc 19th July, Nottinghamshire 139 for 8(40 overs) (S Menzhausen 50) lost to Worcestershire 142 for 6(39.2 overs) (H Butcher 3-10) At Attenborough 22nd July, match was abandoned At kinoulton cc 9th August, Nottinghamshire 200 for 5 (40 overs) (B Lumb 93) beat Norfolk 118 all out (37.3 overs) (H Butcher 3-25) At Overstone Park CC 12th August, Nottinghamshire 182 for 9 (40 overs) (B Lumb 86) lost to Northamptonshire 183 for 1 (31.1 overs) (Z Latif 1-18)

At Woodhouse Grange cc 30th August, Yorkshire 150 for 8 (45 overs) (H Towne 2-14) beat Nottinghamshire 71 all out (38.1 overs) (S Menzhausen 23) Under 14 Manager: Dan Sutton Seven victories from 11 fixtures played was good result from a very talented side, that included victories over an unbeaten Lancashire and a strong Yorkshire side. The team should great fight and spirit through the year including recovering from 10 for 4 versus Durham to post 224 to win the game. The three main batsmen scoring over 250 runs were Louis Bhabra, Hassan Chaudry and Daniel Blatherwick. The bowling dominated by four seam bowlers Adam Majid, Daniel Blatherwick, Louis Bhabra and Josh Porter, whose 5/31 versus Yorkshire won the game, this was greatly supported by the economical spin of Thomas Batterham. Hassan Chaudry won players player and the batting award for his 290 runs at an average of over 40, with Daniel Blatherwick picking up the bowling. All season the boys behaved commendably and they were a credit to themselves, their parents and Nottinghamshire CB At Burwell 24th May, Nottinghamshire 319 for 7 (45 overs) (D Blatherwick 98) beat Cambridgeshire 149 all out (28.4 overs) (J Porter 2-4) At Brignell End 26th May, Nottinghamshire 135 all out (35.2 overs) (L Bhabra 42) beat Staffordshire 84 all out (23.5 overs) (A Majid 4-28) At Bridon CC 2nd June, Nottinghamshire 133 all out (37.1 overs) (J Towers 36) lost to Yorkshire 137 for 7 (29.2 overs) (Z Ramzan 2-8) At New Rover CC 16th June, Nottinghamshire 269 for 7(45 overs) (H Chaudry 63) beat Yorkshire 250 all out (44 Overs) (J porter 5-31) At Attenborough 23rd June, Nottinghamshire 188 all out (44.3 overs) (H Chaudry 47) lost to Cheshire 189 for 8 (43.3 overs) (H Chaudry 3-22) At Kendal CC 30th June, Cumbria 201 for 8 (45 overs) beat Nottinghamshire 197 for 8(45 overs) At Welbeck CC 13th July, Derbyshire 178 for 5(30 overs) (H Chaudry 2-30) lost Nottinghamshire 180 for 3 (29.1 overs) (H Chaudry 69) At Darlington RA CC 22nd July, Nottinghamshire 224 all out (44 overs) (G Shelvey 67) beat Durham 215 for 8 (45 overs) (L Bhabra 3-38) At Skegness Cricket Club 29th July, Nottinghamshire 165 for 8 (45 overs) (D Blatherwick 48) lost to Lincolnshire 166 for 2 (40.1) (L Bhabra 2-38)

At Radcliffe On Trent 2nd August, Nottinghamshire 203 for 7 (45 overs) (L Bhabra 70) beat Lancashire 159 all out (44.5 overs) (T Batterham 2-23) At 5th August, Nottinghamshire 227 for 8 (45 overs) (H Chaudry 53) beat EWDP U19-1st XI 197 all out (41.4 overs) (A Majid 4-47) Under 15 Manager: Chris Revill In what was a thoroughly enjoyable season, the highlight of the 2015 season for the County under 15's was the marked improvement the squad showed from early season to the end of the summer as belief spread through the group. The opening friendly against Lincolnshire at Worksop College saw the hosts snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat, After a poor batting display left Lincs with a target of 145, despite 38 from Dan Harris on debut. That looked a walk in the park at 79 for 1, but 4 wickets for MOM Harris and a hostile spell of 3 for 25 from skipper Reicko Parker-Cole saw our neighbours dismissed for 118 and an opening success. Our opening encounter in the ECB competition against Lancashire away, saw us frustrated by a collapse from116 for 3 to 158 all out, with Hishaam Khan (41) showing later fulfilled potential. That was highlighted when the hosts lost six wickets in victory. A rained off fixture against Cheshire followed when only one innings was possible. This was followed by a superb win at Durham, all the way to Stockton at Norton CC. A victory looked a million miles away when we stood at 100 for 8, but excellent disciplined batting from Rohan Chauhan, Usman Farooq and Jordan Sergeant saw us reach 181 all out with just two balls unused. That proved to be enough as a brace of wickets for Harris, Parker-Cole and MOM Sergeant saw Notts home by 28 runs. Sadly, Yorkshire and Lancashire (the eventual national champions), both doubled up against us in the next three games to end our ECB hopes, but there were good batting performances from Parker-Cole who hit our first fifty of the campaign and Albert Carter who hit 41* and 34 respectively. Next came our trip to Oundle for the London Schools festival. The boys were a credit to the County, both on and off the pitch, as they won 3 out of 5 encounters to finish 5th out of the 12 participating teams. Victories came against Glamorgan, Cambridgeshire and a weakened Lancashire, defeats to winners Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, the latter being easily the worst performance of the season. Highlights of the trip apart from the endless laughs and enjoyment were a hundred for Khan in the opening fixture followed up by a wickets for Louis Bhabra (under 14) that held Glamorgan. 4 wickets for Sergeant as we restricted Herts to their lowest total of the week, 50's for Jack Pearce and Freddie Towne against Cambs, with Farooq grabbing 3 and Chauhan 4 wickets. Towne followed that up with 34 against Lancs with an excellent 47 from keeper Deep Desai, then 4 wickets apiece from Sergeant and Harris ensured 5th spot. Then came our best performance of the season as we chased down 233 away in Cheshire to record a marvellous win with 9 balls to spare. Reicko Parker-Cole's 4 wickets kept the hosts relatively in check, and then a magnificent unbeaten 113 from Hishaam Khan

saw us home by 3 wickets. The season's finales were an excellent 2-day encounter with London Schools at MHM. This saw Bobby Chaudry hit a classy ton (another under 14 player making their mark) and Jordan Sergeant grab 5 wickets in the 2nd innings which created a tense and exciting finish that eventually ended in a draw. Finally, Durham gained their revenge at Radcliffe as they successfully chased down 214 by 2 wickets, despite another 50 from Chaudry and 40's from Bhabra and Khan. It was a season where a number of the lads grew in stature, belief and technical ability and that truly is an important part of the County age group rationale. Many thanks to head coach Jamie Hart, who more than anyone drove through that important player development, to Tom New for his support and to Pat Gada (especially for Oundle), who was always there to help. Also, a big thank you to Ian Smith, for scoring whenever he was available, to all the grounds and more importantly groundsman, who all made us so incredibly welcome. Finally, a massive thank you to the parents who without their support, none of it would have happened. The Thursday night at Oundle was greatly appreciated by Jamie and I, and we both wish all the players we have worked with in 2015 a fantastic cricketing future. At Worksop College 17th May, Nottinghamshire 144 all out (45.1 overs) (D Harris 38) beat Lincolnshire 118 all out (38.3 overs) (D Harris 4-20) At 7th June, Nottinghamshire 158 all out (46.2 overs) (H Khan 41) lost to Lancashire 160 for 6 (26.5 overs) (J Sergent 2-12) At Worksop College 14th June, match was abandoned At Norton cc 28th June, Nottinghamshire 181 all out (49.4 overs) (J Sergent 35) beat Durham 153 all out (47.5 overs) (R P-Cole 2-17) At Mansfield Hosiery Mills Sports & Social Club, 5th July, Nottinghamshire 173 all out (47 overs) (A Carter 40) lost to Yorkshire 174 for 4 (38.3 overs) (L Bhabra 4-23) At Caythorpe CC, 22 nd July, Lancashire 211 all out (47.1 overs) (A Carter 3-16 & J Sergent 3-45) beat Nottinghamshire 87 all out (25.1 overs) At Oundle School, 27 th July, Nottinghamshire 205 for 6 (50 overs) (H Kahn 105) beat Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan 161 all out (L Bhabra 5/19) At Oundle School, 28 th July Nottinghamshire 109 all out (39.5 overs) lost to Bedfordshire 110 for 5 (37.2 overs) (Y McKenzie 3/27) At Oundle School 29 th July, Hertfordshire 212 for 8 (50 overs) (J Sergent 4-19) beat Nottinghamshire 110 all out (37 overs)

Under 17 The season started with victory on the David Todd Trophy against Lincolnshire, the highlight of the game was Connor Marshall s 206. It was a season of contrasts with good performances in the one-day competition cumulating in a reaching the semifinal and narrowly being beaten in the last over by Derbyshire. Fortunes in the ECB two-day competition was mixed with wins on first innings against Staffordshire and Northamptonshire, a creditable draw against Worcestershire and losing to the group winners Warwickshire. Notable performances during the summer from Alex Aldred 131 not out against Worcestershire, finishing with 483 runs for the season at an average over 40. Anis Rasa took 5-26 versus Northamptonshire and Jack Blatherwick leading the attack finishing with 22 wickets for the season. Congratulations must be go to Jack Blatherwick, Tim Wyatt, Tom Keast, Liam Paterson-White and Connor Marshall who were all selected to represent the Midlands in the Super 4 s competition. Under 13 Girls Manager Mick Evans Our season started with winter training sessions that along with myself and Natalie Rowbottom brought together a new group of players and a new coach in Andy Marchant. Thanks to the skills and experience of Natalie and Andy the squad were well prepared when the CAG season started. There is wide disappointment with the results we achieved during the season. Losing in all of the CAG group games we played does not accurately reflect the skills and ability of the group, and I think that the players are better than those results suggest. While our bowling was good at times, and our fielding good for most of the time, our batting did not meet the standards we set for ourselves. An honest appraisal around the games we played leads to a conclusion that we could, and should, have got better results from them. Our opposition were not that much better than us, but they did have individual players that performed on the day and took games away from us, so we were often beaten by one player on the day. From the early part of the season we bowled ourselves into good positions, only to fail to finish games off with the bat.

We went to the Malvern Festival in August with the largest number of players we have ever taken and the weather was nearly kind to us. At the festival we played cricket to a good standard and made the most of the opportunity to further develop the players. Batting award this year went to Pavan Landa who rounded off her third season representing the U13 Girls by also being picked to play in a national representative u13 team at Malvern getting runs and wickets there against 17-yearold opposition The bowling award went to Niamh Mullarkey, an excellent performance in her first year representing Nottinghamshire. Preparation for the 2016 season will see all but three of the squad move up to the Under 15s. I wish them all the best for their future. I look forward to again working with the remaining squad members during 2016, and this year will see for the first time players joining us from the u12 development squad to bring fresh ideas and commitment. My final thanks as always go to parents, grandparents and supporters. Their support was amazing, particularly when you look at our travel arrangements to mid-week games in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Under 15 Girls Manager: Moira Unwin The U15 girls had a busy season with 40 over, T20 ECB competitions and a trip to Malvern. It was a disappointing season in the 40 over competition only winning one game against Derbyshire, but performed far better in the T20 competition winning three of the six games played. Batting was a struggle with Ella Tweed and Kelsey Cox scoring over 200 runs, with Kelsey highest score of 76 versus Derbyshire winning the batting award. Hollie Armitage won the bowling award and was the leading wicket taker with 12 wickets, closely followed by Nicole spencer with 11. Ella Tweed was the player s player after a good season opening the batting scoring two fifties with an average of 24. Under 17 Girls

Manager: Paul Maylard-Mason Nottinghamshire's Under 17 Girls focused on taking a positive learning approach to a season that started with two disappointing T20 performances against Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The matches highlighted a common theme - that taking 10 wickets would be tough to do. Back to back 45 over defeats against Durham saw two excellent batting and bowling performances, sadly not in the same game! At Durham, Esther Stock's 69 helped the team to 217, which was easily surpassed. At home, Bethany Brewster and Esther Stock took 3 wickets each and Notts should have chased a total of 140 to win, but fell well short with only Georgie Boyce composing an innings with her 35. Boyce followed this up with 59* against Cheshire as the home team won a rain-shortened game despite Notts making 132 off 30 overs. Boyce was in fine form by now, her unbeaten 102 helping their team to their first win in the home tie against Cheshire as they successfully kept the away team below the run rate. Under 15 Sophie Munro took 3/21 against Yorkshire (237/4), Notts could only respond with 141 with Georgie Boyce finishing one short of an unbeaten half-century as she ran out of partners and overs (141/9). A big improvement took place in T20 cricket with a great win over previously unbeaten Warwickshire, when Sophie Williamson (2/13 off 4) and Jess Pym (conceding just 9 off 3 overs) slowed down an innings that had been going at 9 an over. Notts knocked off 113 with nearly 3 overs to spare and then chased 133 against Cheshire with Boyce again notching a half-century (79*). Losses to Leicestershire and Derbyshire meant the team ended the season 2-4 in the T20 campaign. Heavy rain curtailed the match v Yorkshire at home, which had already been reduced to 20 overs, and both matches vs Lancashire were lost to weather, despite Lancs claiming one game as Notts could not play on a suitable date.
