Howdy! I ve been practicing my Western jargon for Wild, Wild Western Nite which is only weeks away (6/13). Look for your raffle tickets in the mail to fill out. Start rounding up your posse for a night full of delicious fixins and down home flavors! Entertaining us this year will be Still Country. So, start dusting off your boots and saddle up Old Paint and join Wanda and I for a heap of fun! Now before I get too ahead of myself I m obliged to mention a few events that took place this spring. In March, Mike & Marcia Christofferson hosted a fabulous 40 s themed gourmet dinner. The food was reminisent of the supper clubs that were popular back in the day. Music classics played throughout the evening and some members dressed for the times. All money contributions went towards the Kitchen Fund. Thank you Mike & Marcia (and your crew) for a swell night! In April, Dick Anderson hosted Vegas Nite. Everyone had fun playing bingo, blackjack and craps. Congratulations to Susan Maxwell, who won the trip to Vegas! Thanks Dick and all your helpers too! Hats off to Sue Musurlian and friends for all their hard work making Derby Day such a success. It was an action-packed afternoon of horse racing around the bar, fabulous door prizes, delicious food and special drinks. Oh, and the real Kentucky Derby race too! Members dressed for the occasion and showed off their lovely hats. It was great day at the races. Thanks Sue and her helpers! NEW BUSINESS Harboritaville, our summer outdoor bar, is officially open on Saturdays starting at Noon till 4 pm. A sign up sheet is on the bulletin board for anyone (or group) who would like to host a Saturday. (Continued on next page)

2 WANTED (continued from pg. 1) Hosting Harboritaville entails serving food and manning the outdoor bar. If you have questions, call Nancy for details. Last year we welcomed many boaters who stopped by for food & drink. We hope to see more new faces again this summer. Have you noticed our new docks in the water? Thanks to Scott Floyd for heading up this project. Also, thanks to Pat Scott, Mark Hetland, Mike Rossman, Curt Kubert, Craig Harris and Dick Anderson for doing the prep work and painting. And, Greg Seitz and Mike Rossman for building the new steps for the docks. It all looks great guys! We appreciate it! Well, I guess it s happy trails for now, until we meet again or at Western Nite! A big thank you to our Danish Breakfast committee for your help with purchasing, preparing, setting up, serving and clean up. Without you it would be impossible to run. A special thanks to Ann Kerscher who cracks a mean egg and Mike Callewaert for his great skills at selling raffle tickets. Last, but not least, thank you attendees for making this one of the most successful breakfasts yet. We hope to see you all back for our October breakfast! Rolfe & Karen Christensen Derby Day Does It Again! So many people make this day a special event and I d like to thank those people. A big thanks to our Bookie, Pat Giesler and Race Announcers, Dwight Geisler and Al Groth. Helping with setup and Cork Race gift donations were Mary Beth Rossman, Michelle McFarland, Cyndi Knapp- Finley, Audrey & Bill Linnenkohl, Jan Petrakis, Heidi Kappa and Marcia Christofferson. Our awesome derby hats for raffle were created by Vicki Jessen and Jeanne Shelby. Thanks to Jon & Carol and crew for our delicious food. Nancy, big hugs for all your patience, support, and efforts.
