2 Dear Will, 2 Greenville Letter from the President Your Board has revisited the Club Dress Code Policy and has revised the code to be more explicit in determining acceptable dress in all rooms and areas of the Club property. The appropriate code will be tagged on each event, as well as on the web site, so that all can be prepared with appropriate dress for any event at the Club. The Board has approved a very limited capital improvement program. The beautifi cation project for this year will be completed when the portico and the side entrance of the main Clubhouse have been spruced up with fresh paint and foyer rugs. You will also notice that the ballroom has been newly painted, and sun screen blinds have been installed. Please extend your thanks to the House Committee and Jef Glenn for their terrifi c diligence in pursuing these efforts with very little money. I encourage you to visit the Club website often, as it will guide you to the upcoming club events and activities. You will notice that the site continues to improve and become more member friendly as it becomes the communication and information driver for our club. Please use the site to reserve your choice in club events, or you may call and speak to Amy or Connie or Will as in the past. As you now know, we have entered into a partnership with Henry Hostetler of the Baywood Tennis and Racquet Club to provide for management of our tennis program and facilities. This change has been well received by our tennis members, and we are excited by the professionalism that Henry and his staff have brought to our club. You will see extensive play on the courts on the weekend of June 24 as the USTA Association will again conduct its Senior State Championship (Men and Women) in Greenville. I would encourage you to visit the courts during this time to see excellent tennis from our members and guests. On the golf course side, Chris Parham has completed the deep tining program on our greens, Due to the fi ne efforts of Chris, the golf course is in excellent shape following a very cold winter, and we look forward to a rewarding golf season with the many excellent events we have planned for this year. Check with the Golf Pro Brady Pinner and his fi ne staff for the schedule for the year, as well as updates on the web site. Lastly, as you know, Ben Parrott will assume the Presidency this year; and we are all looking forward to his leadership for the coming years. Please welcome Ben and give him your insight and input. I wish all well for an enjoyable summer season, and as always, if you have comments, questions, or suggestions, please contact me or Will Davis. B. J. When you see a new face around the Club, please extend a warm welcome. A Letter From A Member Once again the country club outdid itself for my daughter s party. Gil and his waitstaff provided excellent food, incredibly good service and were very fl exible in allowing us to extend the party a little bit. This is one of many fi ne events that my family has enjoyed at Greenville Golf and Country Club, and I am very proud to be a member of what is becoming such a pristine dining and banquet facility.
