Below are some bullet points on progress through December 31. Progress updates will be ed on a regular basis to the membership. New restroom fixtures installed in member bathrooms on main level. Demolition completed in banquet bathrooms. New sheet rock work has begun. Framing of front foyer completed. Sheet rock of foyer has begun. Framing of new soffit, ceiling and walls in banquet room completed. Sheet rock of new walls has begun Framing of new soffit and ceiling in Fire Place lounge completed. Old floor coverings have been removed on the main level. Flooring prep has begun Spike lounge bar top has been removed. Prep work for new bar top has begun New half wall in the Step Up room has been framed and sheet rock work has begun New door jam has been set in place in the hallway by the club offices. New Pub furniture for membership dining areas and banquet chairs were ordered prior to 12/31

5 PAGE 5 THE CHATTERBOX 2018 NEWSLETTER COURSE CHATTER BY ROB BIGLEY Pictures to the left are of the Pitch Pine that came down behind #10 green. There was no damage to the 10th or 6th greens One of the main priorities in closing the golf course is to get greens covered and protected for winter prior to snow fall and extreme temperatures. We have 12 impermeable green covers that we were able to get in place successfully. Additional winter season projects that have been completed or are in process include: Construct three new water cooler stands for the driving range and holes #6 and #17 Equipment Maintenance - December: clean and grind the fairway and driving range mower reels Perform repair and restoration work on the memorial benches from the golf course When weather permits continue golf course tree maintenance and removal HOUSE COMMITTEE REPORT The House Committee convened for its first meeting in late November. At this meeting the committee met with the new caterers, Brian and Marla Ortega of the Illium Café. The committee was able to review a preliminary draft of the new menu and collectively came away with a very positive impression. Brian and Marla will continue to meet with Club Manager Scott Warren, and at other times with House Chairs Al DeMarco and Mary Scatena as well as the full committee as necessary throughout the year. It is the committees responsibility to work with the caterers as regards not only the menu but all aspects of providing a positive dining experience for our members. It is the committees intention, and that of Brian and Marla, to be able to hit the ground running with our revitalized food and beverage operation as soon as the golf season commences.
