A Message from Club President Howard Huntington The Board of Directors wishes to take this opportunity to wish you and yours the very best during this holiday season. As we look back on 2016 we have many things to be thankful for. We were able to retain an employee staff second to none. From administration to the pro shop to course maintenance and pool these staffs all contributed to making our club a great place to be a member. As a result of your generosity in donating to the holiday fund we will be able to show our appreciation for their efforts. We look forward to a very exciting new year. The board has been busily engaged in reviewing our operations and looking to improve areas that have needs. 2 PAGE 2 THE CHATTERBOX 2016 NEWSLETTER FIND MORE INFORMATION AT Presidents Message Continued To this end I am happy to report that the Board has approved the following upgrades: Course maintenance: New turbine leaf blower New Jacobsen 550 fairway mower Purchase of Pre Owned Jacobsen Triplex GK IV Plus tee, approach and collar mower Golf Activities: 40 new Yamaha golf carts Pool: New filtration System Administration: New voice processing telephone system Upgrade to our club systems software We have also approved the use of the clubhouse beginning in January for workout sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. A separate detailed notice will be sent concerning this initiative to all members. Once again thank you for your support and understanding and a Happy and Healthy New Year. 4 PAGE 4 THE CHATTERBOX 2016 NEWSLETTER Pool Improvements Prior to the pool opening for the 2017 season we will be upgrading our filtration system. Clardon Swimming Pool Service & Excavation Inc. will be removing our current 20+ year old cartridge filtration system and replacing it with sand filters. The four new TRI40C sand filters will be installed per Albany County Health Department Code requirements. This represents a significant upgrade in our pool filtration system and a more efficient and economical way for our staff to clean the filters and monitor filter pressure. Removal of the existing filters will begin after the holidays and all work will be completed prior to our Memorial weekend opening. Clubhouse Improvements Two significant upgrades to our clubhouse infrastructure will be completed this winter. The first project will be the replacement of our telephones and our antiquated voice processing system. Allied Telecom will install a Samsung OS7100 cabinet kit with a MP10a voice processing system. The replacement phones will be Samsung Falcon LCD speakerphones. This will make calling into Pinehaven and contacting the correct extension much more efficient. The second project will be an upgrade to our Club Systems Group software. The upgrade to Club Select AP, AR, General Ledger and Accounting will provide the business office and the membership with significant benefits. Below are some highlights: Statements En Masse - Member statements will be sent automatically via bulk Members will be able to pay statements via Electronic Bank Transfer Unlimited Receivables - upgrades the business offices ability to track charges Multiple Period Processing - allows reports to be generated for multiple periods Intuitive & Comprehensive Billing Plans - easy maintenance for all automatic charges Sending Members to POS locations - ability to control where member info appears and when without conducting a daily export Month end financial recap
