Annual contributions include grants to all of Illinois' public universities women's golf teams, stipends to USGA Junior qualifiers and State Team members. In addition, the IWGA honors a junior golfer of outstanding character, scholarship, leadership and sportsmandhip with the prestigious Julia H. Dodds Junior Award. Funding for these charitable contributions comes primarily from clubs and associations sponsoring a Victory Tournament. Any decision of the IWGA shall be final. Please type or print. NAME: Entry is open to women amateur golfers who maintain a residence in Illinois and have an established USGA 18-hole handicap index of 28 or less and whose club or association is a member of the IWGA. A player whose club is not a member of the IWGA may elect to become an individual member of the IWGA for a cost of $15 (see iwga.org home page). Entries will be accepted from the applicants with the lowest handicaps until June 14, 2013 or until the field of 80 players is full. Confirmation of receipt of entry and payment will be posted at In the event of a full field, a waiting list will be established and posted at The tournament format is match play with flights determined by an 18-hole qualifying round on Tuesday. Championship Flight will be comprised of 32 players with remaining flights comprised of 8 players. The defending champion is exempt from qualifying and will be seeded number one. The defending champion may elect to play the qualifying round to compete for Medalist honors. Her seeding will not be affected. If two or more players tie for the last place in Championship Flight, placement into Championship flight will be determined by sudden-death playoff. Any player not on the grounds at the time of such playoff will forfeit her rights to Championship Flight. All other ties will be determined by scorecard return sequence. Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner-up in all flights in addition to semi-finalists in Championship Flight. Qualifying round prizes will be awarded for Medalist and Jr. Medalist. The entry fee is $150 and includes a practice round on Monday, June 24, tournament rounds, tournament round warm-up balls and a $35 Cantigny Gift Card to be used to purchase food and other items at Cantigny. Refunds for cancellations prior to June 14 will have a $10 administrative fee deducted. No refunds will be given after June 14. A contestant may use a caddie, drive or have her caddie drive a motorized cart, or carry or pull her own clubs. Proper golf attire must be worn. Blue jeans, halter tops and tank tops are not permitted. Soft spikes only. Electronic devices that measure distance only will be allowed. All contestants must register in person or by phone at (630) on Monday, June 24, from 11 am to 3 pm. Contestants are requested to present current handicap card for qualifying round seeding. A player without a current handicap card will be seeded for the qualifying round as a 28 handicap at the end of the field. 7 34 TH ILLINOIS JUNIOR GIRLS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP University of Illinois Golf Course Orange Course Savoy, Illinois July 30-31, Champion Connie Ellett Hampshire ELIGIBILITY ENTRY DEADLINE FORMAT Entry is open to Illinois residents with a handicap of 40 or less, or a scoring average of 120 or less, who have not reached their 19 th birthday and have not yet begun college. Entries will be accepted from the applicants with the lowest handicaps until July 15, 2013 or until the field of 84 players is full. Confirmation of receipt of entry and payment will be posted at In the event of a full field, applicants will be notified if they have been placed on the waiting list. The championship will be determined by 36 holes of stroke play. Players will be flighted by gross score following the first round of play. Champion will be determined by the low 2 day score regardless of flight. USGA rules will govern play and the IWGA Rules Committee will interpret and make all rules decisions. Electronic measuring devices are not allowed and will result in disqualification. PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to the top four finishers in each flight. Ties for overall Champion will be determined by sudden-death playoff. All other ties will be determined by scorecard playoff. Prizes will also be awarded for a low gross and low net Team Event held on the first day of play. Two-player teams shall be comprised of players from the same school or same course. All prizes will be awarded following play. The IWGA will not be responsible for sending prizes to contestants. 9 44 TH ILLINOIS SENIOR WOMEN S AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP The Den at Fox Creek Bloomington, Illinois September 17-19, Champion Laura Carson Lake Bluff ELIGIBILITY ENTRY DEADLINE FORMAT PRIZES Entry is open to women amateur golfers who have reached their 50 th birthday by the first day of play and have an established USGA 18-hole handicap index of 30 or less. The contestant must maintain a residence in Illinois, and her club must be a member of the IWGA or a player whose club is not a member of the IWGA may elect to become an individual member of the IWGA for $15. Entries will be accepted from entries received or post-marked between August 1 through August 15 or until the field of 120 is full. Entries post-marked prior to August 1 will be denied. Entry must be accompanied by a current handicap index card dated July 15 or later. The field of 120 will be filled by players with the lowest handicaps. Confirmation of receipt of entry and payment will be posted at as well as the waiting list if there is a full field. Players on the waiting list will be notified by phone and/or if they are in position to fill an opening. The championship will be determined by 54 holes of stroke play. Players will be flighted by age group as follows: Flight A: Flight B: Flight C: Flight D: Flight E: 70 and older. The Champion will be the low gross winner across the field. Ties for overall Champion will be determined by sudden-death playoff. All other ties will be determined by scorecard playoff. Prizes will be awarded to the 1 st three low gross scorers across the field as well as the low net winner across the field. All other prizes shall be awarded within age flights. Contestants may win only one age group prize but may also be awarded overall prizes. ENTRY FEE The entry fee is $190 and includes three tournament rounds with cart, Monday, Sept. 16 practice round (cart not included),tuesday night dinner at the Doubletree Hotel, club storage, prizes, and range balls on tournament days before play. Guests are welcome for Tuesday dinner at a cost of $35. Refunds for cancellations prior to August 31 will have a $10 administrative fee deducted. No refunds will be given after August 31. CONTESTANTS REGISTRATION QUESTIONS & WITHDRAWALS All contestants are required to use a golf cart and will share the cart with a fellow contestant. Caddies are prohibited. Appropriate golf attire must be worn and soft spikes are mandatory. Electronic devices that measure distance only will be allowed. All carts are equipped with GPS.
