New Membership Options October Membership Offer Submit one month s dues payment along with your application and receive the rest of the winter DUES FREE $750 initiation fee WAIVED with a one-year Social Membership. $4500 initiation fee WAIVED with a one-year Golf Membership. Young Professional Golf or Social Membership Anyone between the ages of 21 and 36 may join Lake Shore as a Young Professional and receive half off the monthly dues until the age of 36. Corporate Dining Membership Available to area companies who wish to utilize our dining, catering, social events, banquet and meeting rooms. Monthly dues are $150 and includes two or three memberships. Corporate Golf Membership This membership allows businesses to have three or four memberships, two (2) of which must be golf. The company will be billed for each employee under the corporate membership plan. Corporate Business Membership This membership offers a lower monthly dues payment in exchange for a higher food and beverage minimum and a guest greens fee minimum. 5 From the Golf Shop with Eric Schomske Fall golf is here, so throw on a sweater and come on out. With an average high temp of 61 in October, there are plenty more golf days to take advantage of! Congratulations to all of our 2015 Tournament Champions including our recent Labor Day Champs; Dave Spitzer, Jennifer Schade and Don Burdick! Please keep the Pro Shop in mind for your golfers this off season. We will beat any manufacturer s new club deals. If we don t have the right piece of clothing in stock, we can always order it. Special orders take about one week for delivery. Here is a free tip, and yes I am the person that always says don t take free tips when it comes to golf. Many people think that the sand wedge is just for bunker shots. The sand wedge should be used for sand shots as well as most pitch shots to the green. The sand wedge whether a 54 degree or 58-degree has bounce on the sole of the club. Congratulations to our Junior Tennis Stars Awards winners, tournament competitors, league players, new members, and everyone who hit tennis balls on our courts this summer. Lake Shore Holiday Tradition 2015 The Erie Homes for Children and Adult s mission is to help people with disabilities live rich and fulfilling lives. This year Lake Shore Country Club has once again teamed up with EHCA to help those less fortunate experience a Holiday worth remembering! We ask our members to please play an active role in helping these local families celebrate a Christmas to remember, by fulfilling the wishes hung on our Christmas Tree which will be placed at the entrance to the Grill Room toward the end of November. Each numbered tag will indicate the Christmas Wish of an individual associated with EHCA. Please take a tag and sign your name on the tablet after the number that corresponds with your tag. For children and adults, it s often necessities like a warm blanket, pair of boots or a grocery certificate that is needed far more than a toy or an ipod. Please drop off gifts to the Lake Shore Country Club office by Sunday, December 13th. We have asked for the most needy children and adults from EHCA to place their wishes on our Christmas tree. These are working families who live from week to week, pay check to pay check, trying desperately to provide for their families. Please continue to be generous with these families! Remember the quote by Maya Angelou, I ve learned that you shouldn t go through life with a catcher s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back! 6 October/November 2015
