1 June 2016 Club News A Game of Adjustment Thanks to everyone who came out over the Memorial day weekend! This may have been the best 3 days of weather we have seen for this holiday in many years. The pool was busy, the tournaments were full and everyone enjoyed a great cookout on Monday. There are a couple of very fun social events coming in June. The Wine Tasting event on Friday, June 10th features the wines of California and Oregon. They will be presented by Terri from Market Place Selections. She did a great job last fall at our wine dinner. There will be cheeses from European Imports and other specialty appetizers plus live music by Kevin Stearns. The cost is only $15 per person and reservations are required. Flavors on the Fairway returns on Saturday, June 18th. This outdoor putting competition is a four person team scramble. It starts with appetizers on the patio at 5:30 and then we head to the golf course where there will be food and beverage stations. The cost is only $25 and includes the food, carts and prizes. There has been a lot of questions about the Pool and Clubhouse renovations. We will get more in depth in the next newsletter. The Clubhouse upgrades will start in August and go through the winter. The pool upgrades will start right after Labor Day and finish in the Spring. It s an exciting time to be a member at Crestwicke. Let your friends know what a great place you belong to! 3 Flavors on the Fairway Saturday, June 18 5:30 p.m. $25++/pp Join us for an outdoor putting competition! Form your four person team and get ready to scramble on our difficult putting course. The night starts on the patio with appetizers and cocktails. Members will then work their way around the back nine greens on carts while enjoying food and beverages. Guests are welcome. Bring your own chair for a fun evening. Reservations are required. Cost is $15++ per person and includes food and the concert. Market Place Selections will have a Craft Beer Truck for tailgating!

7 From the Golf Shop Interclub Champions Congratulations to the Crestwicke team for winning the BNGA Interclub tournament. The team was captained by Professional Casey Pyne and members Rob Wuethrich, Jeff Wells, Grant Milling, Dusty Koth, and Dallas Koth helped bring home the trophy. Upcoming Events Sign Ups are available for Friday Couples, Husband & Wife Championship, Ladies 9 Hole Presidents Cup, and the Men s Club Championship. Hole In Ones! Congratulations to Paul Leber and Deb Cochran for their exceptional feats in making a Hole In One! Adopt A Hole All 18 holes have been adopted and the efforts of the membership is showing. Divots are filled, ball marks are repaired, and debris is picked up. THANKS! Congratulations Winners! 9 CCCforeCCC 2016 Crestwicke Country Club fore Community Cancer Center Crestwicke Women s Golf Association (CWGA) is pleased to host a fundraiser for the Community Cancer Center on Wednesday, June 29 th. For those interested in golf, there will be two events to play in: 18 Hole Event 8:15 am shotgun (please arrive between 7:00 and 7:15 for registration) Format: 4 woman scramble and will include a light breakfast and lunch. Carts are mandatory for this event. Cost: $30 donation, $18 cart, $20 food, $10 greens fees for guests. 9 Hole Event 5:15 pm shotgun (please arrive between 4:00 and 4:15 for registration) Format: 4 woman scramble and will include a snack before golf and dinner. Carts are mandatory for this event. Cost: $30 donation, $9 cart, $20 food, $5 greens fees for guests. NON GOLFERS - Join us for lunch (arrive 12:15) or dinner (arrive 7:15). Participate in fun raffles by purchasing tickets to place in buckets in front of item you would like to win. If your ticket is drawn you are the winner! Silent auctions will also be available. Cost: $30 donation, $15 food ************************************************************************************** Please bring your checkbooks or cash to participate in the raffle, mulligans, and the silent auction. This is a great opportunity to show support for our local Community Cancer Center and all our friends or family that have been touched by cancer. Last year this event contributed over $8800 for the Community Cancer Center Foundation that supports services for those without the resources to pay for their care, including supportive care initiatives for their journey. The Community Cancer Center Foundation uses its resources for direct patient services. Please use a copy of the attached form to make your reservation. The drawing for the winner of these tickets will be the evening of Wednesday, June 29. Tickets are available from the CCC Fore Community Cancer Center committee: Gretchen Monti, Connie Kennedy, Nancy Kiedaisch, Mary Mulligan, Nicole Hebel, Gretchen Furler, Mary Lee Matthews, Michaela Kent and Vanessa Menke. Tickets will also be sold at various men s golfing events and at Flavors of the Fairway on June 18 th.
