1 Golf News FROM THE GOLF SHOP The Three Club Scramble was played on February 14. We had 50 players brave the cold and windy day. Congratulations to David and Patrick Haas and to Tod Senne and John Trigg for winning their flights. Rodes Bowers and Bubba Gwyn are the 2015 Gross Champs by one shot over Jack Benson and Taylor Smith. Complete results are included in this newsletter. Thank you to all that participated in the Three Club Scramble. March officially kicks off the tournament season with the Men s Spring Kickoff event on Saturday, March 14. You can pick you own foursome or let us help you find a team. The format is two better balls of the foursome, play from the tees that your handicap is established. The event will start at 8:30am and registration is currently available in the Golf Shop. We will have our first Junior Mixer of the year on Saturday, March 21. The event is open to all Junior Members age years of age. The format is blind draw with the Golf Shop to make the pairings. The tournament will be a shotgun start at 1:30. We hope that all participants will register for the wine tasting after golf! The ladies start their season with their opening luncheon and ABCD Step Aside Scramble on March 28. Ladies if you are not a member of the WGA, this is your year to join the fun! Registration is currently available in the Golf Shop. By the time you are reading this, the search for a new Golf Professional will be under way. We hope to have the new Professional in place sometime in March. With the new staff coming in please make sure you check in at the Golf Shop each time you play and let the staff know if you are walking or riding so that they can monitor play and also make sure that you are billed properly. It is very difficult for the staff to catch you teeing off without you coming in the Golf Shop and registering to play. Lastly, we had a tough 2014 on the course as far as trash, cigarette butts, broken tees and raked bunkers. Let s all do our part to clean up our mess and show how proud we are of our course. Broken tees, cigarette butts and general trash can all be put in the proper receptacles on each hole or even put into the back of the cart for the staff to empty. Raking bunkers is a simple enough process and certainly a common courtesy to all of the other golfers on the course. If you see a fellow member in your group not treating the course or facility the way it should be, please feel free to let a member of the staff know. Sign up in Pro Shop (by March 26th, 2015) ABCD Step Aside Scramble Teams are paired by the pro-shop based on individual handicaps. Each team has an A player, with the lowest handicap and a B, C and D player. Each player hits a drive. I am ready to see this place begin to green up! We will begin to prep out #15 tee area for the natural area that we will plant fescue. If I can find some broom sedge seed, I will use it also.

Just as a reminder, we are still finding cigarette butts near the greens, nonrepaired ball marks, and non-raked bunkers after hitting out of.
