Laughlin is always an educational and fun conference site, and this year is no exception. Special thanks to 2 nd Vice President Darryl Thompson and David Gaines for inviting us back! The content of our program this year comes from the Professional Development & Scholarship Committee. This is just one of several committees that was reorganized as part of our strategic business plan effort last year. With a renewed focus on delivering timely and relevant content to meet the professional development needs of our membership, the committee has put together an excellent program for you this year. At our general membership meeting to be held during the conference, I ll have the opportunity to review with you the tremendous progress that your Board of Directors has made this year, and 1 st Vice President Jennifer Maples will outline her plans for next year. 6 3 IN 1 Tour Land Tour to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon Caverns and Keepers of the Wild Nature Park This tour starts with a stop at Keepers of the Wild Nature Park where you will take a ride on the feeding tour with over 175 animals. Then it s off to the Grand Canyon Caverns. These caverns were discovered in 1927, back then you were lowered down 150 feet by rope and given a lantern to take the tour. After the cavern tour, it s time for lunch at the restaurant or a box lunch at the Grand Canyon (weather permitting). The journey ends with an awe inspiring drive to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
