1 SCORECARD October 2018 VOLUME 23, ISSUE 10 President s Message Presidents Message We are approaching our annual meeting in November, where we vote in our new board for the upcoming year. If you are interested in contributing and being on the board please Jack Schoen at jack@naturallyagedflooring.com or Dennis Wargnier at dennis.fran@yahoo.com and let them know you would like to run for the new board. We are very aware of the conduct of certain members and this will not be tolerated any longer. If a marshal asks you to catch up with the group in front of you, chances are you are behind, and you should just figure out how to catch up. We will no longer tolerate fits of rage toward any course worker or playing partners if you are asked to play faster. Being intoxicated and playing golf is not acceptable for any of our tournaments and will not be tolerated. Here are the SCGA rules of conduct that we will be enforcing. I highlighted a couple that you should take note of. The bottom line is the board has no problem banning anyone from playing in our tournaments if you can t control yourself or your behavior. This is from the SCGA PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT: By submitting an entry for any California Amateur Championships-administered competition, the contestant understands that his/her participation is at the sole discretion of the SCGA. A contestant may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the SCGA staff or Rules and Competitions Committee at any time before or during the competition. Incidents of unbecoming conduct or actions deemed to be detrimental to the image of the SCGA or the Spirit of the Game are grounds for such removal and suspension from future California Amateur Championships and/or SCGA-administered competitions. These include, but are not limited to, the following: Willful damage of the golf course or golf course property Club throwing or unnecessary club tossing Offensive or unbecoming language Public criticism of golf course or verbal abuse of SCGA staff, officials, volunteers, host club staff or other contestants Potential endangerment of others Conduct deemed unbecoming Willie Melancon

For our skin s game $20 buy in for gross and net skins. 8:00 am start time. General Meeting On Wednesday October 3rd at the Simi Hills Golf Course. At 6:30 pm., we start taking sign-ups for tournaments. The meeting will be called to order at 7:00 pm. See you there.
