4 Hunter Divisions The courses offered at this show will consist of at least 8 fences with at least two changes of direction. The fences will simulate obstacles found in the hunt field such as brush, post and rails, walls, in & outs, gates, etc. There will be no banks or water jumps. To be judged on performance and soundness. Manners shall be emphasized and extreme speed penalized in Junior, Children s and Amateur classes. Hunter rings are 275 x 150 (Hunter 1) and 240 x 130 (Hunter 2) with sand/ggt (German Geo-textile) footing. Management reserves the right to combine or cancel any divisions with insufficient entries. All age groups must be shown in a bridle. First and second place horses in each age group advance to the Best Young Horse class. There is no entry fee for Best Young Horse. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. It is the responsibility of the rider, or the parent or guardian or trainer of the junior exhibitor to see to it that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards for protective headgear intended for equestrian use, and is properly fitted and in good condition, and the Federation, Show Committee, and Licensed Officials are not responsible for checking headgear worn for such compliance.

10 Jumper Divisions In all jumper classes, ties for first place will be jumped off. Ties not involving first place will remain tied for the purpose of points and cash awards. First round times, if any, will determine the ribbons. Orders will be drawn per USEF rules. Time allowed is to be based on a minimum speed of 382 yards/minute in all jumper divisions, except where noted. Jumper Rings are 310 x 240 (grass footing) and 200 x 240 and 240 x 150 with sand/textile footing. Management reserves the right to combine or cancel any classes with insufficient entries. Points for non-money classes are calculated 10,6,4,2,1,1/2. Attire: Riders are to wear hunt coats, ratcatchers or conservative collared shirts. Hunt Coats are required in all Stake and Special classes. Classes denoted with a ( ) are NorCal Spruce Meadow Qualifiers. 18 FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT Federation Entry Agreement By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of (Competition). I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. 20 Rules and General Information LIFE, SENIOR ACTIVE AND JUNIOR ACTIVE MEMBERS SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL CLASSES AT REGULAR COMPETITIONS, EVENTING COMPETITIONS AT THE PRELIMINARY LEVEL OR ABOVE AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS AT THE ADVANCED LEVEL, DRESSAGE, REINING AND VAULTING COMPETITIONS AND ENDURANCE RIDES. A NONMEMBER MAY PARTICIPATE AS A HANDLER, RIDER, DRIVER, OWNER, LESSEE, AGENT, COACH OR TRAINER AT REGULAR COMPETITIONS, EVENTING COMPETITIONS, DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS, REINING COMPETITIONS AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS UPON PAYMENT OF A $30 SHOW PASS FEE. ARENAS: Grand Prix Field, Grass, 310 x 240, GGT Arena, Sand/ Textile, 200 x 240, Jumper Ring 2, Sand/Textile, 240 x 150, Hunter Ring 1, Sand/Textile, 275 x 150, Hunter Ring 2, Sand/Textile, 240 x 130. All warm up arenas are sand/textile. MANAGEMENT: The Horse Show Management reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to, or arising out of, or incident to the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by Horse Show Management, their decision to be final. The Horse Show Management reserves to itself the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or cancel any entries, disqualify riders or exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries and cancel award prizes, without claim for damages; to cancel or combine any classes having 6 or less entries; to change any course; to change rings or rotate judges; to change specifications in jumper classes in order to facilitate the time schedule, or to reschedule classes as competition warrants. Management reserves the right to limit entries at its discretion. CONDITION OF ENTRY: Every horse entered herein for competition will be under control of the Horse Show Management, but management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Horse Show, it s directors, employees, officials, sponsoring entities and Leone Equestrians, Inc., harmless for any loss or accident to his horse(s), equipment, or employee(s), which may occur from sickness, fire or other cause. All owners and exhibitors shall be responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents or employees to stalls, buildings, and other properties on the show grounds and shall be billed accordingly. ENTRY PROCEDURE: For each horse entered send a $50 deposit fee and $175 per stall/tack room requested. Entry blanks must be filled out completely, including horse name and complete description, all classes entered, all mandatory signatures and organizational membership numbers. Non-member fees will be assessed if membership numbers are not provided. Entry blanks must be postmarked on or before the closing date of Friday, May 9, Entries postmarked after the closing date of entries may pay a $50 late fee. If show becomes fully subscribed, close of entries could fall prior to Friday, May 9, ADD/SCRATCH POLICY: The $50 deposit allows competitors to add/ scratch classes with no additional charges up to and including the day before the class is held. Same day adds will incur a $5 per class add fee, classes scratched on the day of the class receive a credit to be used against any future adds after the number has been picked up. All add/scratches must be completed in the horse show office. It is NOT the responsibility of horse show staff to notify the office of any scratches. POST ENTRIES: Any entry postmarked after Friday, May 9, 2014 is considered a post entry and may pay a late fee of $50. Post entries in classes will be accepted at management s discretion. A $5 per class post entry fee will be charged for any class added the same day the class is held. ENTRY BLANKS: Care should be taken to enter each horse in its proper division or class. Exhibitors are responsible for their errors and those of their agents in completing entry blanks. In all cases the description on the entry blank must fully identify the horse. The word entry shall not be accepted. Stipulations for entry blank: 1. Be properly signed and in the case of a minor, be signed by a parent or guardian. 2. Be made on an entry blank provided by the show. 3. Show the correct mailing address of the owner. 4. Social Security number for those competing for prize money must be on the entry blank. 5. Include copy of USEF membership card or pay $30 non-member fee for each owner, lessee, agent, trainer, and rider. 6. Include a copy of USHJA membership card or pay a $30 nonmember fee for each owner, lessee, agent, trainer, and rider. 7. Include PCHA membership numbers. 8. Include all additional membership numbers and birth dates of

21 junior and amateur riders. Please attach photocopies of USEF Amateur cards, USEF pony measurement cards, or USEF Junior Hunter cards as applicable for entries. REFUNDS: Before the closing date of entries, full refunds will be given. After the closing date, with veterinarian or doctor s certificate, refunds will be given less a $50 office charge, and less fees applied prior to notification at the Horse Show Office, whether exhibited in or not. Stall fees may be refunded if canceled by May 9, MINOR EXHIBITORS: Parents or guardians of minor exhibitors shall hold Leone Equestrians, Inc. and show management harmless for injury to such minor. No child s entry will be accepted or number issued unless the entry is signed by a parent or guardian. PRIZES: Awards to 1st and ribbons 1st-8th in hunter, equitation and jumper classes. In classes with prize money, purse will pay to 5th (30%, 25%, 20%, 15%, 10%) unless otherwise stated in the class specifications. Prize money will be paid by check to the owners within thirty (30) days of the show s conclusion. Prize money will not be mailed unless the owner s Social Security number is listed on the entry blank. UNPAID CHARGES: If show management or show official (i.e. farrier, veterinarian, feed supplier, etc.) must bill an exhibitor for unpaid charges, a $25 billing fee will be added to the amount due. RETURNED CHECKS: Checks returned by the bank for any reason are regarded as a most serious offense and will be handled as follows: All returned checks will be charged 10% of the amount of the check ($40 minimum). Accounts will be given ten (10) days to be paid in full with cash or money order, or they will be turned into the sanctioning organizations for further disciplinary action. STABLING: Stalls, whether occupied by horses, feed, or tack will be available for $175 each, no bedding included. Stalls are of temporary construction, wood or canvas, 10 x 10 with doors. Exhibitors are responsible for the condition of stalls upon departure. Anyone dismantling or causing damage to stalls will be assessed a charge of $100 per panel. Stalls not available before May 20 unless special arrangements are made. Early arrivals will be charged an additional fee per stall per day. FEED AND BEDDING: Should be ordered directly from Leone Equestrians, Inc., (916) or fax (916) on the order form included in this prize list. CONFLICTS: It is the intention of management to avoid holding rings to wait for horses and/or riders. Competitors with conflicts must arrange their jumping order with starters so as not to delay a class. Management reserves the right to close a class to late exhibitors to maintain the time schedule. MOTORIZED VEHICLES: In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle inviolation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. RV PARKING: Limited RV parking (20 amp service) is available at $250 per RV on a first come, first served basis. (Price includes 1 pump out) Parking in RV area only. Please call Anne Polli at (916) to reserve an RV space. Arrival on Tuesday, May 20 through Monday May 26. RV parking includes only power and water. No dumping on site. After first pump out, waste removal is available for an additional fee, please sign up in the horse show office. PARKING: Horse trailers and autos will be parked in designated areas. Absolutely no autos will be allowed in barn area or barn aisles. GROUNDS FEE: All horses entering the show and not using a stall will pay a $35 per day grounds fee to offset facility cost, clean-up and amenities. NON-SHOWING HORSES: For any horse on the grounds not officially entered, owner or trainer of said horse must complete a Not to Show form and sign a release at the Horse Show Office, and pay a $25 facility fee plus a $25 schooling fee and stall fees, if applicable. SCHOOLING: Competitors will be allowed to take part in a schooling session in competition arenas provided by management the day prior to the first day of competition, 9 AM to 6 PM. There is the possibility the grass ring will be excluded. An EMT will be present during this time. Any schooling by competitors at any other time is done so without management s consent, at competitors own risk, and with the understanding an EMT will not be present. Signed releases must be on file in the horse show office for all riders before schooling or competing. Management reserves the right to limit the schooling session to horses that are competing at this event. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE, EITHER EXPLICIT OR IMPLIED, THAT ANY RINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SCHOOLING AT ANY OTHER TIME DURING THE HORSE SHOW. 22 MEDAL CLASS SPECIFICATIONS ALMADEN FARMS/CHRISTENSEN S JR/AM MEDAL this class may be held over hunter or jumper type fences, 2 9 in height. Three riders must enter for the class to count. Any rider showing in classes with fences over 3 3 in height at this show may not show in the medal. The course must include a combination, two changes of direction and two tests built into the course, i.e. halt, back, etc. Additional testing is at the judge s discretion. Points will be awarded 10,6,4,2,1,1/2 and 10 points are needed to qualify for the finals, held in July of ASPCA HORSEMANSHIP CLASS Open to Junior riders who have not reached their 18th birthday. Rider and trainer must be current members of the ASPCA/NHSAA and must show their ASPCA numbers on their entry blank. All contestants are required to perform over at least eight fences at 3 6 with or without wings. A minimumof twelve riders, if available, are required to show at a walk, trot, and canter. To be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of horse. The Under Saddle performance of those riders selected to show under saddle shall count 50%. Only one rider per horse, USEF Tests To fill a class 6 competitors must complete the course. CLOVERLEAF EQUITATION Open to junior and amateur riders not showing in any classes over 3 6. To be judged over a jumper course of not less than 9 fences at 3 in height. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance, and control of the horse on a jumper type of ride. There will not be a time allowed, a tone will be used to signal the rider to start the course. Any jumper type bit or equipment is allowed. Jumping penalties will be considered in accordance with USEF equitation rules. Additional work offs after the initial round will be at the judge s discretion and any number of riders may be asked to test. At least 3 riders must enter and compete in the class. First and second place will qualify for the finals. Points awarded /2. CPHA JUNIOR MEDAL open to Junior riders, 17 and under, who are current registered members of the CPHA and the PCHA. (Trainers of riders in the class must be professional members of the CPHA and PCHA) To be shown over a hunter or jumper equitation type course of fences 3 6 in height with at least 2 changes of direction and at least 1 combination with a spread fence. A minimum of 3 contestants will be required to work off using USEF tests This class will be judged on hands, seat, control of the horse and overall general appearance to be given consideration. Five competitors must compete and three must complete the course. CPHA AMATEUR MEDAL 18 & OVER open to Amateur riders 18 and over who are current members of the CPHA and PCHA. Same specs as the CPHA Junior Medal 17 & under. FOXFIELD MEDAL 18/OVER Open to Adult Amateur riders who are current senior members of PCHA. Only one rider per horse. Three competitors must complete the course for points to count. The class is to be judged over a figure eight course of 3 3 fences. Two or more tests of the top three or four contestants are required. Ten points qualifies for the finals. HORSE AND HOUND JR/AM MEDAL Open to all junior and amateur riders who have not competed in a 3 6 medal finals in the previous 3 years and who are not showing 3 6 or higher at this show. To be shown over a hunter or jumper course of 3 fences with 2 tests included. 5 riders to fill. Points awarded 7,5,4,3,2,1. If only 4 finish, points will be awarded 5,3,2,1. 5 points qualifies for the finals. A sterling silver jumping horse pendant will be presented to the winner of a qualifying class with 5 or more entries. Classes with 15 or more entries will be pointed 10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2. HUDSON & COMPANY JR/AM MEDAL To be shown over a course of hunter or jumper fences approximately 3 3 in height with flat work incorporated into the course.. No workoff required but further testing at the judge s discretion. (USEF 1-19). Points awarded to the top 8 riders (8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,). 6 points to qualify for the finals. Five riders must complete the course. NORCAL JUNIOR AND SENIOR MEDALS Open to junior/amateur members of NorCal. Trainers of contestants must also be members. To be shown over a course of not less than 8 fences, 3 6 in height. Either hunter or jumper type fences may be used. The course must include at least 2 changes of direction, and a combination containing an oxer. No triple combinations, water jumps or liverpools are allowed. Two or more tests of the top 4 riders will be required. (Test 1-19). Any exhibitor failing to return for the work-off will automatically be placed last of those called back. Five or more riders must complete the course for the medal to be awarded, and points will count 7,5,4,3,2,1. Seven points qualifies a rider for the Finals, but winners may continue to compete in the class throughout the year. If fewer than 5 riders complete the course, no medal will be awarded but points will be awarded as follows: 4 riders 5,3,2,1; 3 riders 4,2,1; if fewer than 3 riders complete the course no points will be awarded. If either the Junior or Senior medal classes do not fill, management may combine the classes if this will meet the minimum requirements. NORCAL PONY MEDAL open to junior members of NorCal. Trainers of contestants must also be members. To be shown over a course of not less than 6 hunter type fences. Fence heights and age requirements will be according to USEF specifications for small, medium, and large ponies. Suitability of pony to rider will be emphasized. The course must contain at least one change of direction, and will include at least two tests (USEF 1-9). No work-off is required. Five riders must complete the course for the medal to be awarded and points will count 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Five points qualifies a rider for the Finals, but winners may continue to compete in the class throughout the year. Riders in this class may not compete in the NorCal Junior Medal at the same show. If fewer than 5 complete the course, points will be awarded the same as for the Junior and Senior Medals. NORCAL 3 MEDAL open to juniors and amateurs who have not won a 3 6 medal in the preceding 5 years and who are not showing 3 6 the show at which they enter this class. Trainers of contestants must also be members. Same specifications as the Junior and Senior medals, with the exception that fences shall be 3. Workoff for the top 4 riders mandatory. Points will be awarded the same as for the Junior and Senior Medals, 7 points needed to qualify for the finals. Winners may continue to compete in the class throughout the year. ONONDARKA MEDAL open to riders 12 years of age and under, current members of the PCHA who will not be older than 12 (USEF horse show age) when the Finals are held. Three contestants must complete the course in order for points to count. Points to be awarded as follows: 5 or more; 12,6,4; 4 riders-6,4,2; 3 riders 4,2,1. Twelve points or more qualify a rider for the Finals. To be judged over a course of 3 0 fences, combinations are permitted. Workoff is required of at least 4 (if available) without a major fault (Tests 1-18). Riders may continue to ride in the qualifying classes until they win a class with a minimum of 5 entries, regardless of how many points he/she accumulates. PCHA HORSEMANSHIP-14/UNDER this is an intermediate equitation class for riders 14 and under who are current PCHA members. A rider who will not be 14 (horse show age) or under on the date of the Finals may not compete in the class. To be held over a course of at least 8 fences approximately 3 3 in height. Hunter type fences are encouraged. One combination must be included and at least two changes of direction with two tests (USEF 1-18) included as part of the original course. No work off is required but further testing is at the judge s discretion. To fill a class three riders must complete the course. Riders may qualify by earning 12 points or by winning a class of 5 or more entries. Regardless of how many points he/she accumulates, a rider can continue to compete in qualifying classes until he/she has won a class of five or more entries. PCHA HORSEMANSHIP-35/OVER open to riders 35 and over (horse show age) who are current members of PCHA. To be held over a

23 course of at least 8 fences not to exceed 3 3 in height. One combination and at least two changes of direction must be included. Two or more tests (USEF 1-18) will be part of the original course. Qualifying same as PCHA 14/under. PESSOA/USEF NATIONAL HUNTER SEAT MEDAL - open to junior members of the Federation and USHJA who have not yet reached their 18th birthday. To be held over a course of fences of not less than 8 obstacles at 3 6. Two or more tests of the top 4 competitors are required. Only one rider per horse. To fill, six competitors must complete the course. USEF ADULT EQUITATION - open to Amateur senior members of the Federation and USHJA. To be held over a course of not less than 8 obstacles at 3 3. Two or more tests of the top 4 competitors are required. Only 1 rider per horse. To fill, six competitors must complete the course. MARSHAL & STERLING U.S. PONY MEDAL - open to junior members of the USEF who have not reached their 18th birthday, on ponies 14.2 hands/under. Riders in this class can not cross enter into the USEF Junior Medal at the same show. Two test included in the course. PLATINUM PERFORMANCE/USEF SHOW JUMPING TALENT SEARCH a test of the abilities of an individual as a show jumping rider, is open to Junior/Young Riders who are members of the Federation, who have not reached their 21st birthday under Federation rules. Competitors must use the same horse in both phases and may ride stallions. The jumping phase of the class will be held over a course of at least 10 fences from ( ) in height with spreads to 4 11 (1.50m).at least 12 riders, if available, must be called back for the flat phase. Jumping phase is held first and to fill a class, 6 riders must complete the course. WCE JR/AM MEDAL Open to current CPHA and PCHA Junior and Amateur members whose trainers are current members of the CPHA and PCHA. At least 3 riders must complete the course for the class to receive points. This class is designed as a jumper type equitation class, which will be held in the jumper ring over a jumper course at 1.10m to 1.25m. The class will be judged under a power and speed format (Table II 2 (c), with no time allowed for the power phase and a 375 meters/ minute time allowed for the speed phase. No work-off is required.
