2 WELCOME! Dear competitor/volunteer/visitor, 2015 is a anniversary year for TREC Team Eersel. TREC Eersel is the birthplace of TREC in the Netherlands, both for ridden TREC as well as driving TREC. TREC was first introduced in 2005 in the Netherlands by Lotje Moerdijk. She organized the first TREC here at PCK Eersel. It is therefore also a celebration for TREC Club Nederland. TREC Eersel has grown in the last 10 years from a competition with 11 competitors to a European-cup competition with over 80 competitors. TREC Eersel is now a competition recognized in several FITE countries, something of which we are, and should be very proud. This year we celebrate our 10 year anniversary for this competition, which is also our fifth European-cup competition. The large amount of competitors, volunteers and international jury members will complete the our party. TREC Club Nederland will also be organizing the Euro TREC Young Riders at PCK Eersel. This will be held on 4th, 5th and 6th of September We hope to welcome a lot of Junior Riders from FITE associated countries. TREC is an great equestrian discipline for the recreational rider. Riding in beautiful scenery, overcome obstacles, conquer challenges and spending a great weekend with other competitors and your horse. The literal translation of TREC (Technique de Randonnee Equestre de Competition) is a competition in trekking skills. It tests the skills and abilities of rider and horse in mounted orienteering and over various terrains and obstacles. The regulations of the TREC Club Nederland are largely the same as the FITE ones. They reflect the philosophy of the sport; safety and terrain skills. The Organisation: De judge is Dirk Jan Hugen. The POR traceur and builder of the PTV is Ingrid Peters, and experienced TREC rider. 3 General Information Secretariat (livingroom ground floor, near the bedrooms) This is the room at PCK Eersel where the organization will be all weekend. The secretariat is used for welcoming competitors and volunteers. The meals for competitors (who signed up for this) and volunteers will be served here on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All volunteers can get drinks and food here during the weekend. When the competition starts the room will be used as audit room. PTV course The PTV course is open for walking the course on Saturday afternoon. It is not allowed to be on the course with your horse before the start of the PTV on Sunday. If you do this anyway, you will be disqualified. The course will be closed for walking half an hour before the start of the first rider. Toilets and showers At the entrance of the riding school are several toilets available for the competitors and volunteers. On the first floor are showers and toilets. All competitors who have signed up for a bed or camp outside can use these. The apartments have their own showers and toilets. Camping and paddocks There is a seperate field reserved for camping, see the Floor map. Please consider that all tents must be able to be placed there, so don t put tents to far away from each other. Please follow the instructions from the secretariat regarding parking. Paddocks are 5x5 meter and are marked on the ground. Don t attach one paddock to the other one, because of safety reasons. Competitors should bring their own materials for making a paddock, this is not available. Dogs Dogs are allowed at the riding school, but they must be on a leash. Use bags to clean up poo and throw these in the bins that are placed all over the terrain. Please keep the riding school clean and avoid nuisance. Smoking It is not allowed to smoke anywhere inside at the riding school, this includes the apartments and bedrooms. Hay/water for the horses Hay is available in large slices for 2,00 per slice. Coupons for this can be bought at the secretariat. The issuing of hay is on Friday evening from 19-20h and on Saturday afternoon from 17-18h. There are water taps at the stables to get water. At the outside stables is a hose for cleaning your horse. During the POR there will be water for the horses available lunch break.

4 Canteen PCK-Eersel At the riding school is a canteen where food and drink scan be bought. Opening hours are: Friday April 24th until 01.00h Saturday April 25th from 8.30 until 19.00h Sunday April 26 th from until 17.00h Volunteers who order food and drinks in the canteen have to pay for this themselves. They can get free food and drinks at the secretariat. Veterinairy checks Veterinairy checks are on Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. There will be two vets from Dierenkliniek de Kempen. Friday evening veterinairy checks for all competitors. If you cannot be there on time, you should go to the veterinairy check on Saturday morning. Saturday morning for competitors who were late of for those who need a re-check. Saturday afternoon is the veterinairy check 30 minuted after finishing the POR. Sunday morning is the veterinary check for those who need a re-check before the MA/PTV. Emergencies In case of emergency, call Stans Peters 0031-(0) Farrier Farrier Anton van Hoof is available for emergencies, he can be at the riding school within half an hour. If you need the farrier, call Stans Peters 0031-(0) Transport There is a horse trailer available in case one is needed. If you need transport, call Stans Peters 0031-(0)

5 Program Friday, April 24 th 2015 Arrival of competitors and volunteers from 15.00h Competitors and volunteers should report themselves first, before building a paddocks or putting up a tent. Veterinairy check 18.30h 22.00h Two vets will be checking all the horses. Each competitor has to have his or her horse checked. Only competitors that are not able to be there on Friday, can have their horse checked on Saturday morning. The vet check is compulsory! Instruction volunteers / judges for the POR Saturday April 25th At hours there will be instruction for the volunteers and judges for the POR. Saturday April 25 th 2015 Veterinairy check 6.30h until 10.30h Competitors who were not able to have their horse checked on Friday evening can do this on Saturday morning. This is also for horses who need to be rechecked after Friday. The vet check is compulsory! Breakfast from 6.30h until 10.00h Competitors and volunteers who signed up for this can have breakfast between 6.30 and 10.00h. Lunch for competitors The lunch is provided by us and is present at the pause site. At the lunch break there are drinks available for the competitors and there horses. The competitors can fill their drinking bottles for the second part of the route. Lunch for volunteers and judges The lunch is provided by us. We will give it to you before you leave for the POR. Maproom ready at 7.00h The maproom would be ready at 7.00h. Competitors should report themselves 5 minutes before their starting time to have their mobile phone sealed. POR start 7.50h The POR starts as soon as you leave the maproom. Don t wait, this will cost you riding time. The first competitor will leave the maproom at 07.50h. Gathering first volunteers and Judges at 7.15h. The first volunteers and judges gather at 7.15h. report to the secretariat for the final instructions. We will bring you to your post on the POR. Don t be late. Veterinairy check after POR Competitors have to present their horse at the vet 30 minutes after the POR. This is the same for every class. The vet check is compulsory! Saturday evening After everyone has returned to the riding school there will be a meal for all volunteers and competitors who signed up for this. Competitors can use the showers on the first floor, opposite the bedrooms. They can also order food and drinks in the canteen of PCK Eersel.

6 Walking the PTV course. Competitors can walk the PTV course from Saturday afternoon until an hour before the start of the first competitor. After that the course will be closed for walking. You are not allowed to walk the course before it is opened by Ingrid Peters and controlled by Dirk Jan Hugen. Saturday evening at 20.00h. you can walk the PTV course under guidance from one of our judges. Instruction volunteers / judges for the MA / PTV Sunday April 26th At hours there will be instruction for the volunteers and judges for the MA / PTV. Sunday April 26 th 2015 Breakfast from 7.00h until 10.00h Breakfast for volunteers and competitors who signed up for this in the living room downstairs. Veterinairy check from 7.00h until 10.00h Veteriniairy check is just for those who need a re-check or for those who only participate in the MA and PTV. MA starts at 8.30h The MA starts at 8.30h. Gathering volunteers and judges for the MA at 8.00h. to go to MA. PTV starts at 09.15h The PTV is ridden according to the starting list. Gathering volunteers and judges for the PTV at 8.15h. to go to the PTV course. Pause There is a scheduled break between T1/T2 and T3/T4 of two hours. Volunteers and judges will have there lunch. From 12.00h. competitors can have there lunch. Results 16.30h The results will be on the wall outside the living room at 16.30h. Until half an hour after that, competitors can protest against the results if they think that there are mistakes made. Prize giving ceremony 17.30h If everything goes according to plan, the prize giving ceremony will be at 17.30h. We hope everyone will go home happy. We are hoping for nice weather and that we will have a great 10 th TREC Eersel competition. We hope to see you again next year, at TREC Eersel 2016 April 22th, 23th and 24th! TREC Team Eersel
