All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor. 4. All female sheep to have been the bona fide property of the Exhibitor for three months prior to the show. 5. Stock to remain on the showground until 4.00pm. 6. No exhibits to be shown where entry fees have not been paid. 7. All protests to be made in writing to the Secretary within 1 hour of the class being judged. With each protest, a deposit of 20 must be made. Should the protest not be sustained the deposit will be forfeited to the Society. The decision of the Committee in all cases will be final. Anyone infringing the rules will lose all claim to any prizes which may have been awarded. 8. All trophies must be returned in good order. 9. All trophies and cups to be held for one year only unless otherwise stated. 10. All trophies and cups to be signed for on collection and return. 11. All cheques to be made payable to Dufton Agricultural Society. 12. Industrial Tent Exhibitors to have removed cars from the show field by 9.30am. 13. Please see horse section for all Equestrian Rules. 6 SHEEPDOG TRIALS Sheep Dog Trials Rules: The decision of the Judges is final Any dog injuring a sheep will be disqualified and the owner of the dog liable for damages Any person running a bitch in season without the stewards permission will be liable to a 5 penalty Local class 15 miles radius of Dufton Church LOCAL AND NURSERY CLASSES TO BE HELD ON FRIDAY 25 TH AUGUST PM ONWARDS. NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED ON SHOW DAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BRITISH SHOWJUMPING AND GYMKHANA. NO CHEQUES ACCEPTED ON SHOW DAY. Exhibitors must be prepared to produce, on the field, their Registration Certificates and / or Passports to the Secretary, if requested to do so. Riding hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted including the Mounted Fancy Dress Class No horses should be left tied up and unattended. All stallions to be identified by a blue ribbon and must be handled by an adult. All Champions and Reserve Champions MUST attend the Grand Parade or forfeit prize money. Page No: 10

12 Overall Horse Champion The Champions of the Fell ponies, Coloured Horses and Ponies, Mountain and Moorland, Riding Pony and Veteran Horses and Ponies to go through to compete for the Overall Horse Champion trophy kindly given by A.W Jenkinson Forest Products. To take place at 2pm approx. Dufton Horse of the Year The Society offers a special prize to the horse or pony gaining the most points in Class 64 to 119 inclusive. Points are awarded on the following basis: 1 st - 5 points, 2nd - 3 points and 3rd - 2 points. 13 A FPS special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed registered Fell pony in classes and class 72. A current membership card must be produced in the ring. Fell Pony Breeders Association Gold Shield Rosette this will be awarded to the 3 highest placed ponies in the Fell Pony Traditional Class (69) which is owned by a full or family member of the FPBA and which has not won this award in a previous show in Rosettes will be presented at the Autumn AGM. For information about the Association, please go to Prizes 15, 10 and 5. Lownthwaite Pat the Pony Perpetual Trophy, kindly given by Mr P Bell, to be awarded to the highest placed Fell Pony Foal in class 66. Perpetual Challenge Cup kindly given by Mr & Mrs Howe for Best Local Fell Pony in class 71.
