1 Dressage on the Downs Members Day & Trophy Presentation Indoor Arena, Toowoomba Showgrounds Glenvale Road, Toowoomba We will be operating a small Canteen with Morning Tea, Drinks & Water available for purchase, Lunch will be provided.

2 OFFICIAL DRAW All Competitors must sign the attached Health Declaration Form & hand it in to Gear Check on arrival & definitely before you compete. Please note the gates to the showground do not open until 6.30am and will be closed at 8.00pm at night. Entry is via Gate 4 off Harvey Rd, please shut the Gate on Entry & Exit A few things to note: 1. Entry is via Gate 4 off Harvey Rd. 2. Please you pick up your manure and feed/hay from around your floats and placing it in the designated waste area. Our Club is charged a cleaning fee if the parking area is left unclean. CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION It is the riders responsibility to know the rules under which they compete. 1. Rules: This event will be run in accordance with current Equestrian Australia rules and current FEI rules (as amended). 2. Each horse entered must have the same rider as nominated on the entry form for all competitions at the event. Any change of rider from the rider nominated on the entry form, must be notified to the OC before the commencement of the event. 3. Horses cannot be substituted. 4. Refunds: NO refunds after close of entries unless substantiated with medical and/or veterinary certification within 7 days of the completion of the event. No refund of the Administration Fee will be given. The OC reserves the right to retain 30% of the entry fees. The administration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances after close of entries. 5. Scratchings: toowoombadressage@gmail.com or text Dress Code: Shirts must be either a competition shirt or members shirt. Gloves are compulsory. There is no need to plait your horse. 7. WARMUP-/ LUNGING AREAS, GEAR CHECK 8. Lunging lunging is only allowed in Round yard set up in Dressage Park at the south east end. So the end closest to the Indoor and Cattle Pavilion. 9. Warm Up In Dressage Park and the Sand Arena in the M & S Building. Final warm up on the southern side of the Indoor. Only four horses in the Indoor warmup area at once. One horse in each ring then the next 2 horses for each ring in the Indoor warmup area 10. Gear Check will be at the entrance to the Indoor Arena.

3 GENERAL INFORMATION Prizes : Ribbons up to 6 th place. Presentation of Prizes : Presentations will be held at the end of the competition and after the arenas are packed away. EA Stallion Safe Guidelines: all riders must be aware that Toowoomba Dressage has adopted all guidelines and recommendations in the EA s Stallion Safe Guidelines. Stallion owners need to be aware of these guidelines and comply with the requirements and all other riders please be aware of stallions on the grounds. Catering: A small Canteen will be operating with Morning Tea, Drinks & Water available for purchase. Lunch will be provided Dogs on the grounds are not a preferred option. If dogs are present, they MUST be leashed and under control of the owner/handler at all times. The owner of any dog on the ground accepts the responsibility of the consequent action caused by the dog. All dogs should be restrained at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the arenas or practice/warmup arenas. All riders, owners and officials are asked to keep dogs out of stabling and other horse areas and to ensure that their friends, family and clients also follow this directive. WELFARE OF THE HORSE CODE OF CONDUCT The Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) and Equestrian Federation of Australia (EFA) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI s/efa s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. 1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation. 2. Horses and competitors must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids. 3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event. 4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement. 5. The FEI/EFA urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise. A full copy of the Code can be obtained from the FEI, Avenue Mon-Repos 24, CH-1000, Lausanne 5, Switzerland. The code is available in English and French. The code is also available on the FEI s website.
