Please note that wrist bands will be given out for membership and must be worn over the whole weekend. This also covers un-powered camping, toilets, showers and water. Entries close on Friday 11th March 2016 and must be accompanied by all appropriate fees or they will be returned. * One Rider per Entry Form * Cheques / Money Orders to be made payable to Waikerie Horse & Pony Club Inc. Refunds will only be given on scratchings made prior to close of entries, unless a doctors or veterinary certificate is supplied. Limited Yards are available which you can reserve with your entries and/or on a first come basis with a cost of $10 per yard for the weekend. No admittance to grounds prior to Thursday. NO LUNGING OF HORSES AT ANY TIME ON THE OVAL please use our two lunging rings or ménage. Affiliation is with the Equestrian Australia and Pony Club SA. Show jumping will run under EA national show jumping rules. EA competition license must be provided on request. Unaffiliated Hack Ring is for people who do not compete on a regular basis, therefore the rider and mount in the Unaffiliated Hack Ring cannot compete in Saturday s Open rings or Sundays open Affiliated. Horses / Ponies entered for Hack events on Saturday may not compete in the unaffiliated ring on Friday apart from the Pony Club events. Led Riders must remain led for the entire show. Local/Riverland classes riders must be a permanent residence in the Riverland or a member of a Riverland Pony Club. Junior Showjumpers may compete in any Young rider or senior class provided the horse has a current competition license if the starting height is 1.05m or above. Interschool Competitors Interschool Competitors aiming to qualify for the State Team must also register with the ESA office. Contact interschool@equestriansa.com.au for details.

3 Enquiries: Show Secretary: Emma Marks After Hours only Stallions may not compete in the Hack ring but are permitted in Showjumping events, TO BE HANDLED BY ADULTS OVER 18 AT ALL TIMES. Ages of riders is taken as on the first day of the show. Proof may be requested. Helmets must be of approved safety standards AS/NZ3838, EN1384. NEW PONY CLUB HELMET RULES APPLY. HELMETS AND CARDS WILL BE CHECKED. Pony Club s all exhibits to be shown in a snaffle bit. Approved dressage bits may be used. Proof of financial membership must be produced but not necessarily be qualified. All exhibits are to be in the control of a capable handler at all times. Stewards reserve the right to remove from the ring any Exhibit which may endanger another Handler or Exhibit. Judges decisions are absolutely final. The judge may withhold prizes where the entries are not considered worthy. The judge may require any rider to retire from any event. Any competitor under the influence of alcohol will be asked to leave the arena. The committee reserves the right to alter or delete events on the day. The determination of the committee upon any question or dispute incidental to the conduct of the show shall be final and binding. Dogs must be restrained on a leash at all times. Horses must not be tied to oval fence. Noise curfew will be applied as from midnight each night of the show. No glass bottles to be taken / left on the oval. Catering available all weekend in canteen facility near oval. Friday evening meal will be fish/chicken, salad and chips at a cost of $10 per person. Saturday evening meal will be a Roast and dessert plus all canteen items will be available. The Saturday night meal will be $15 per person. Camping please use minimum area for camp. Horse yards to be a maximum of 4m x 4m and to be made to EA Standards. Limited powered sites are $20 per night. Camping is not permitted before Thursday night. Campsites are to be left clean. Power Cords may not be run across tracks or roadways. A card will be issued to plug in cords, (please see Secretary for this). Champion in Hacking events competitors who win champion in one ring, may not compete for champion in the other. Fodder is available over the weekend from Koky s Fodder Store Michelle ph Horses to be shown as either a hack or a hunter not both.

10 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY ALL competitors in Ring 2 & 3 must either be a SHC-SA Inc. member or member of another SHC affiliate (e.g. HIA Comp Assoc) at the time of competition. Ring 2 & 3 competitors can be day members upon paying their fee but only count for that day of competition. DAY MEMBERSHIP IS $10 AND REQUIRES COMPLETION OF WAIVER PRIOR TO RIDING. DAY INSURANCE NEEDS TO BE PAID EVEN IF YOU ARE A PONY CLUB, RIDING CLUB, BREED or EA MEMBER STILL MUST PAY $10 DAY MEMBER- SHIP WITH SHC. Day membership forms will be available to be completed in the clubrooms on the morning of the show. 2. Riders must wear approved hats (ASNZ 3838 / EN 1384) and boots at all times while riding. 3. The judge s decision is final there is to be no approach to the judge unless authorised by the convener or steward. 4. Liability: Neither the organising committee, the SHC nor the owners/lessees of the venue accept any liability for accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, persons or property whatsoever. Horse Riding is a dangerous sport and competitors ride at their own risk. 5. No stallions or colts permitted on the show grounds. 6. Catering will be available on the day by Waikerie Horse and Pony Club. 7. Protests must be lodged in writing, together with a $50.00 deposit, no later than half an hour after the incident which gives rise to the dispute. The deposit will be refunded only if the protest is upheld 8. Entries can ONLY compete as either Show Hack or Show Hunter for the season 1/1/16 31/12/16 with SHC-SA and HIA Comp. Assoc. Shows. Only then can competitors change sections if they wish. This is ruling from SHC of Australasia Inc. 9. Gates will be open from 6.30am 10. Winners of Champion or Reserve Champion in the Show Hack & Show Hunter Ridden section are reminded that they now qualify for competition in the SHC Classic Classes at the 2016 SHC-SA Rising Star Show 11. HOT WEATHER POLICY: Please check the forecasted temp for the Sat 26/3/2016 if over 35 degrees on Fri night on channel 9 the show will be cancelled. Cancellation of the show will be posted on the Show Horse Council of SA Facebook Page, Aushorse and our website.
