The nominees are for President Lynn Serra, Vice President Matt Lagessie, Secretary John Churchill and Treasure Scott Durbin. Come to the meeting and, in good Chicagoland fashion, vote early and vote often, 2- Race date selection for 2009 Council has nine race dates for 2009 and it is generally felt that the Chicagoland and Great Lakes clubs should have first right of refusal for the Loooong Race and the Milwaukee Mile Race respectively since Chicagoland has done a great job with the Loooong Race these past years and Great Lakes is taking the lead on getting the Milwaukee date. That leaves seven race dates for the clubs to select from, five Blackhawk dates and two Autobahn dates. It was generally decided to select one of the Autobahn dates if it was available and a second date that can hopefully be shared with another club. The race date selection is on December 11 th at the monthly Council BOD meeting. The results will be announced at our December meeting. 3- NSSCC Awards banquet if you did not attend the banquet you missed a very good time. The food was great, the facilities were great but best of all was the company. I believe that you can say that a good time was had by all. Awards were given to the clubs 2008 Champions: HSAX Champions: AR Spencer Clark, BR Graeme Gee, CR Tim Bellamy, SS William Hansen, SM Matt Werner, SR Bill Minor, YP John McMillan, XM Matthew Helm, XS Robert Dudek, BS Eric Barnes, CS John Qualich, DS Ed Litwitz and ES Scott Lampe W2W Champions: DP George Olsen, EP Dick Plank, GT1 Pete Anderson, ITGT Dave Farnsworth, SP Scott Heineman, GP Dave Bralich, GT4 David Fichter, ITS Chuck Peterson, SM Mike Backus, ITA Mike Backus, SSB James Fogerty, SSC Steve Burns, CFF Scott Durbin, FA Rudy Mazzeo, FC Kurt Williams, CSR Len Welch, S2000 Bob Wismer, SREN Neil Rodgers and TR Mike Piecko. Special Awards: Member of the Year Lynn Serra, Driver of the Year George Olsen and the Presidents Award Raymond Kollock. A special Mover and Shaker award was giver to out club President Lynn Serra for the extraordinary effort and work that she did in order for our two Autobahn races to be the success that they were. A special thank you goes to: Theresa & Chuck Larsen and Neil Rodgers for their work in putting the Banquet on. The Banquets sponsors and door prize donors: MADD MATTS AUTO, Blackhawk Farms Raceway and Lily Did it, and Jim & (Continued on page 3) 2

One last item before we go to the pictures that are worth more than one thousand words, the Rod Knock will probably be taking the month of January off, the next issue will be the January/February 2009 combined issue. Remember that the Council awards banquet is on January 17 th and that you can go to the Council web site in order to make your reservations. And now our award winners: 3
