2 INTRODUCING FORMULA 4 FORMULA 4: DISCOVERING TOMORROW S TALENTS Introduced in 2015, the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship is the critical step between elite junior karting, Formula 3 and ultimately Formula 1. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Formula 4 has been developed and certified by the Federation Internationale de l Automobile (FIA) as the pre-eminent open-wheel development category across the globe. The over-arching aim of this category is to unearth the next generation of Australian drivers who aspire to achieve locally in Supercars or internationally to Formula 1. GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZE MONEY A total of $17,500 prize money is on offer at each round through the Jayco Road to the World, with $10,000 awarded to each round winner, $5,000 for second place and $2,500 for third. 10 FORMULA 4 ALUMNI 2015 CHAMPION JORDAN LLOYD 2015 RUNNER UP THOMAS RANDLE 2015 LUIS LEEDS 2015 ZANE GODDARD After a dominant season in 2015 with Team BRM, appearing on the podium in every round, Lloyd graduated to the USF2000 Series in the United States in Racing as a support category to the IndyCar Series, the Toowoomba driver hopes to emulate Australian IndyCar champion Will Power. Lloyd also tested a European Formula 3 car with world renowned squad Carlin as reward for his 2015 efforts. Runner up in the 2015 championship, Randle was immediately itching to prove himself overseas. The Victorian stepped up to the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, claiming ten podiums, two wins and one pole position, In 2017, Randle was crowned Toyota Racing Series NZ Champion and is due to compete in the British LMP3 Cup Championship. The Victorian teenager had an impressive 2015 in Australian Formula 4, and was duly rewarded with a spot aboard the Red Bull Junior Team in Leeds seemlessly adapted to British Formula 4, scoring three wins and nine podiums in In 2017, he will compete in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Championship with 2016 champion squad Josef Kaufmann Racing. Starting his circuit racing career in Australian Formula 4 in 2015 after several seasons in karts, Goddard was the only rookie to secure front-row race starts. Two race wins, two pole positions and six podiums were Goddard s highlights of his graduation to British F4 in Goddard will also compete in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 during 2017 with renowned open-wheel specialists Arden.

11 FORMULA 4 ALUMNI 2016 CHAMPION WILL BROWN rd JORDAN LOVE 2016 JACK SMITH The Toowoomba racer competed in two highly successful seasons of Australian Formula 4. During his debut season in 2015, he finished third in the overall standings and was crowned Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Year. Brown improved further in 2016 with six race wins, seven podium appearances and becoming champion in the process. In 2017, Brown graduates to Supercars feeder category, the Super2 Series. After two seasons of Australian Formula 4, 2016 was his best year with four race wins and six podium appearances with Team BRM. Love s efforts were rewarded by becoming a Jamey Blaikie Scholarship recipient by Porsche Australia, where he will compete in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge. Jack Smith made the graduation from a successful kart career to open-wheel racing with AGI Sport in Smith s best result included being Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Round winner at Queensland Raceway. The Gold Coast teenager will now step up to the Super2 Series in 2017 with iconic Australian touring car team Brad Jones Racing.
