Juby Jim Driskill, Lenawee County Commissioner Bill Tucker, Stevens, Kirinovic & Tucker Commissioner Wilson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and led in the pledge to the flag. A moment of silence was taken to acknowledge the death of Mark Burgermeister, former employee of the Road Commission. Attorney Juby advised his is working on license agreements for private road crossing. Commissioner Slusarski moved that the minutes of the board meeting held April 19, 2018 be approved. Commissioner Emery seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Emery moved approval of the April 27, 2018 payroll of $113, Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Slusarski moved approval of the May 3, 2018 payables of $332, Commissioner Emery seconded the motion. Motion carried. Foreman Brower reported on the work schedule. Fleet and Facilities Manager Ramsdell discussed repairs being made to equipment , and Mechanics have been working on routine repairs and maintenance. County Commissioner Driskill advised the board on county events. Bill Tucker of Stevens, Kirinovic & Tucker P.C. presented the 2017 Audit. Commissioner Wilson called for a recess at 9:55 a.m. Meeting was reconvened at 10:01 a.m. Commissioner Slusarski moved approval of the following permits:

Maumee St. Installing New 5/8 P- MP Gas service lead to the 4 S-MP main located 10 E of C/L at 2772 Round Lake Hwy. A road bore, break and lane closure will be required. Replacing long side gas service at 7672 Hallenbeck Hwy, Manitou Beach, MI in advance of county road project. Service will be bored under the road. Consumers Energy replacing long side gas service at Sandy Beach Rd, Manitou Beach, MI in advance of county road project. Service will be bored under the road. Installing New 5/8 P- MP Gas Service lead to the 4 S-MP main located 8 E of C/L at 8346 Horton Beach Rd. A road bore, break and

Commissioner Emery moved the approval of the Blissfield Township projects Ricker Hwy Underseal and Asphalt Overlay $103, Driggs Rd Crackfill $1, Wellsville Hwy Crackfill $3, Wellsville Hwy Crackfill, Seal Coat and Fog Seal $17, for a total of $125, Commissioner Slusarski seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Emery moved the approval of the Clinton Township projects Kett Road Should Removal & 4 Process Gravel $19, Neblo Rd & Sutfin Hwy Sh Rem & 2 Proc Gravel $23, Eccles Rd & McNeil Hwy Sh Rem & 2: Proc Gravel $32, N. Adrian Hwy Underseal & Overlay $28, N. Adrian Hwy Underseal & Overlay $23, for a total of $128, Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Slusarski moved the approval of the City of Morenci project City Parking Lots Crackfill $2, for a total of $2, Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Emery moved the approval of the Ridgeway Township projects Palmer Hwy Crackfill $3, Blissfield Hwy 12 Culvert Replacement $2, Kniffin Rd 18 Culvert Replacement $3, Centennial Rd 36 Culvert Replacement $5, Pocklington Rd Asphalt Paving $22, for a total of $37, Commissioner Slusarski seconded the motion. Motion carried. Operations Manager Schnaidt presented the Tire bids with a recommendation to approve Tommy Tire. Commissioner Slusarski moved to approve Tommy Tire for the 2018 Tire bids. Commissioner Emery seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4 May 3, Operations Manager Schnaidt provided information to the board regarding a mini excavator. LCRC has demoed three mini excavators recently. Employees Chad Gilliland and Cory Tilton tried each machine and advised the board of their experience with each machine. Both employees preferred operating the MI Cat. Payback for Education will be held on May 9, Operations Manager Schnaidt advised Stoneco is crushing at the Wheaton pit and is about one week ahead of schedule. Commissioner Emery moved to accept the 2017 audit report as presented. Commissioner Slusarski seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Slusarski motioned to approve the ACT 51 report as presented. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Commissioner Emery moved to approve the 2017 Annual Report. Commissioner Slusarski seconded. Motion carried. Commissioner Slusarski moved that Managing Director Merillat be authorized to sign the contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation for Contract No Railroad force account work for the installation of flashinglight signals and half-roadway gates at the Indiana & Ohio Railway Company (RAILROAD) highway-railroad grade crossing of Weston Road, to be authorized by MDOT under MDOT s Master Agreement with Indiana & Ohio Railroad Company. Motion supported by Commissioner Emery. YEAS: Commissioners Emery, Wilson, and Slusarski. NAYS: None. Motion carried.
