Next Major Milestone: SBL scheduled to reopen August 24 th to meet school opening date Contract Completion Date: September 23, 2011 Meadow Creek Parkway , C502, B612, B613, B657 Scope: Grade, Drain, Asphalt, Utilities, Signals, Landscaping and Bridges. Next Major Milestone: Complete major construction items by August 25 th. Landscaping will not be completed until October. Contract Completion: October 14, I-64 Eastbound Shadwell Exit (FO) , N501 Scope: Widen Ramps and Improve Signals. Next Major Milestone: Project complete Contract Completion Date: December 2, 2010 Jarmins Gap (NFO) , C501 Scope: Grade, Drain, Asphalt Pave, Planting and Utilities. Next Major Milestone: closed beginning August 29 th for approximately 60 days to facilitate box culvert installation. Route 20, Scottsville At Calvary Baptist Church 7850 Scottsville ; safety study completed recommending installation of Watch for Turning Vehicles signs; No change in speed limit recommended. Sign installation pending. Route 600, Watts Passage from Route 641 to Route 20 Centerline pavement marking review completed recommending installation of centerline markings from Route 784 (Burnt Hill ) to Route 641 (Burnley Station ); Installation pending. Route 692, Plank at Route 693, Stillhouse Rd Safety review of intersection/ consideration of speed zone adjustment completed; recommendation for stop sign upgrade. Sign installation completed 4/18/2011. Route 626, Langhorn Rd/James River Rd Review of James River Heritage Trail bicycle route signage completed recommending installation of W11-1 Bicycle signs with W16-1P Share the plaques. Sign installation completed 6/26/2011. Route 743 Advance Mills area Review of tractor trailer truck advisory signs completed; no additional signage warranted. Route 810, Crozet Ave from existing 25 mph zone to north of Buck Speed study completed; no change in speed limit recommended. Route 250 from existing 45 mph zone west of Route 240 to four lane segment approaching I-64 Speed study completed; no change in speed limit recommended. Route 665, Buck Mountain from Route 601 (Free Union Rd) to Route 664 (Markwood Rd) Speed study completed; speed limit changed to 45 mph with curve warning signs; all signs installed 7/21/2011. Route 664/663, Buck Mountain from Route 665 Markwood Rd to Existing 35 mph zone - Speed study completed; no change in speed zone recommended Route 240, Crozet Ave at Route 1230 Meadows Drive Safety review of intersection completed; warning sign installation recommended pending installation. Under Review Route 706, Dudley Mtn from Route 631 (Old Lynchburg Rd) to Route 708 (Red Hill Rd) Speed study underway. Route 29 from Route 1575 (Austin Dr) to Route 763 (Dickerson Dr) Review of existing advance intersection and industrial intersection warning signs underway. Routes 1670 (Ashwood Blvd), 1675 (Kendalwood), 1723 (Crosstimbers), 1737 (Watercrest) & 1720 (Timberwood Pkwy) Crosswalk study underway at multiple locations; subject of Routes 1765/1769, 1770/1769 & 1770/1771 Intersections in Fontana Subdivision - Multiway stop studies underway. Study also includes review of Routes 1765 (Fontana Dr) and Route 1771 (Verona Dr) for centerline and edge line pavement markings. Maintenance Activities State Force Maintenance Crews Have been working on storm cleanup. They are also mowing, cleaning Pipes and ditches, machining gravel roads, doing shoulder restoration, tree removal and applying dust control on various routes throughout the County.
