3 Welcome Dear Colleagues and Friends, We are delighted to invite you to participate and contribute to the 22nd Annual meeting of the European Society for Clinical Virology (ESCV), which will be held in Copenhagen,, September The steady growth in importance and popularity of the ESCV annual meeting has made it our mission to increase the excellence of this congress. To achieve this goal, the scientific program committee is preparing a series of keynote lectures, symposia, workshops and poster sessions, covering all aspects of the exciting field of clinical virology. The organisers aim to provide a forum for fruitful and inspiring scientific discussions and networking opportunities for all participants, irrespective of which phase in their education or career they are currently in. Copenhagen provides a vibrant and exciting backdrop to this meeting. It is an ideal congress city, known to be a safe, eco-friendly and cosy capital city. It has extensive green areas and a harbor so clean that you can swim in it. The distance from the congress venue, DGI-Byen, to the city centre is within walking distance. After an intense day at the Congress you can take the opportunity to get further inspired by award winning new Nordic cuisine, the impressive mixture of historic and contemporary Danish design and architecture, see the Little Mermaid or take a tour through the old canals. DGI Byen offers an optimal infrastructure, which significantly eases the journey and travel-time for the delegates. Located merely 50m from Copenhagen central station that has direct trains to and from Copenhagen international airport. Pre-conference symposium The topic will be All you need to know about POC testing: usefulness & validity. Will be held on Wednesday 11 September at Nordsjællands Hospitals Research Unit in Hillerød. Limited seats for 150 participants. Accreditation of the meeting The organisers will apply for CME accreditation awarded by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). This item gives sponsors premium visibility as all participants should wear their badge during the entire conference. Provides the sponsor with an excellent marketing opportunity not only during the conference but also for years beyond. The recognition consists in the sponsor s logo featured together with the conference logo printed on the bags. 1 brochure is allowed to include the participants bags. Includes sponsor recognition on a charging station for mobile devices. Each participant receives an ESCV 2019 water bottle with the sponsor s logo on. The Danish weather can be tricky so supporting with umbrellas can be a good opportunity to help participants in need. The sponsor is allowed to place promotional signage at the dinner venue and will have their logo on the menu cards. Including 2 dinner tickets. VAT Terms and conditions Payment and cancellation Terms of payment: 25 % of the total amount will be invoiced and is due 14 days after ordering. The remaining amount will be invoiced in March After 1 March 2019, all orders will be invoiced immediately upon ordering. All bookings must be made by sent to the conference secretariat and must contain an invoice address, PO number (if needed), and VAT number. See contact information on page 10. Cancellation: Any cancellation of stand booking, symposia, or other reservations before 1 March 2019, will incur a cancellation fee of 25 % of the total cost of the reservation. Cancellations after 1 March 2019 are non-refundable. 8
