4 4 MOVING NEW TELEPHONE NUMBER NEW ADDRESS Members are reminded that if they are moving, changing telephone number or switching to a new provider the information must be forwarded to the Director Membership & Credentials so that their personal file can be updated in the National Database and the Division Database. When providing a new address ensure the mailing address is provided along with the residential address in the event they are different, ie: P.O. Box 1027 versus: 621 New Haven Drive. Please forward the information to C.F. (Stu) Stuart Director Membership & Credentials at: stustuart@mymts.net. I will forward changes to Murray McNeil Director Communications to update his system. REGIMENTAL NUMBERS FOR NATIONAL DATABASE A review of our databases revealed that there are many cases where officers have provided only their regimental number issued when they joined the RCMP and have not provided their officer number received upon commission. I would like to update our database files and would encourage officers to forward both regimental numbers for inclusion in the database. Please forward information direct to C.F. (Stu) Stuart Director Membership & Credentials at: stustuart@mymts.net RCMP VETERANS ASSOCIATION Income statement 18/01/01 to 18/03/21 REVENUE Christmas Cake Programme Social Events / Meetings Dues 15, Donations TOTAL REVENUE 16, EXPENSES National Dues 11, Office Expense Donations / Assistance Grants Donations / Fruit Baskets / Flowers Lapel / Service Pins / Name Tags Interest and Bank Charges General Meetings / Socials 1, TOTAL EXPENSES 14, NET INCOME 2, AGM 2018 Registration numbers now stand at 128. I remind you all that the only way to register is to send an to me at alan.whitson@shaw.ca. It is not sufficient to ask someone else on the executive to register you as they may lose your info or forget to send it to me. Everyone working on the AGM planning committee have their own jobs to do and to burden them with the responsibility of getting you registered is both unfair and counter-productive. Remember, when you register that you need to supply me with both your name and that of your spouse or person who will be attending with you. Thank you all for your understanding and support. I remind you that you have only 25 days left to register. The cut off date is May 10th. If you plan to attend, you need to do it now Alan Whitson Registrar - AGM 2018

Next General Meeting: March 6, 2018 ANAVETS Club, Brandon, 11:00 AM Next Executive Meeting: March 20, 2018 St. James 10:00 A.M. Jack Daniels Fishing Story I went fishing this morning for Bass but after a while I ran out of worms. Then I saw a cottonmouth with a frog in its mouth. Knowing that frogs are good Bass bait and that the snake couldn t bite me with a frog in his mouth, I grabbed him right behind his head and extracted the frog which I put in my bait box. Now the dilemma was how I was going to get rid of the snake, so I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a bit into the snakes mouth. It eyes rolled back and it went limp. I released the snake into the lake and went on fishing using the frog as bait. Not long after I felt a nudge on my foot. It was that damned snake with two more frogs in its mouth. Life is good!
