APRIL 9TH Well we survived Friday s wind storm in good shape for our 41st annual Vanderhoof All Breeds Bull Sale. With 60 bulls on offer we had a good variety of top genetics from 5 different breeds. With a full house of bidders we let the Charolais breeders start us off. Seven Quarter Circle Charolais/ Bob & Nikki Miles enjoyed for RRMM RRR CHISUM 9C. Southside Charolais/Ken Rose had the high seller of the sale, SOUTHSIDE DAHLIA 10C soared to TK Cattle Company/Tate & Kolby Page watched TKCC BILLABONG 13B march to the tune of All together the Chaolais average was on 7 bulls. We then moved on to the Simmental bulls with Crosby Cattle/Ron & Lois Crosby selling XBAR BLACK WALLBANGER 34C for Lorne Webster fetched for LGW RED LABEL 4C. 3M Simmental/Monte & Darlene Furber saw THREE M RED BARON 40B and THREE M COLBY 48C bring each. All together Simmentals averaged on 5 bulls. Next we fired up the Herefords with Richardson Ranch/Don & Leslie Richardson TLELL 0219 CATTLE BARON ET 23C AND TLELL 0219 CARD SHARK ET 27C tied for Copper-T Ranch /Trevor & Janice Tapp brought COPPER-T 42X 37Z BOREALIS 8B who sold for All together the Herefords averaged on 8 bulls. To close the sale we had an assortment of Red & Black Angus bulls. As a first time contributor, Dragon View Angus/Robyn Burt showed her black DRAGON VIEW WOLF 2C edging Ludwig Farms/Frank and Miriam Ludwig found their top black bull to be SKARA BRAE IMAGE MAKER 27C at Quick Haven Angus/Gary & Judy Meerdink had QUICK HAVEN ICE BRAKER 5C and QUICK HAVEN JACK 25C each notching Day-Lite Angus/David and Keith Wruth saw their DAY-LITE CROSS 6B Black bull sell for Black Angus Averaged on 10 bulls. For Red Angus bulls we had Broken Saw Farms/Terry Dancey here for her first time, RED BROKEN SAW BARN DANCE 3C earned her Quick Haven Angus had RED QUICK HAVEN MAX 30C bring Meints Cattle Co/ Andy & Jan Meints welcomed for RED MEINTS JONAH while Henry & Bonnie Meints cheered RED CRUZE REO all the way to Matt s Red Angus/Matt Taylor sold RED MATT S KINGMAN 24C for North 40 Red Angus/Mike & Brenda Wheeler watched RED NORTH 40 OLY S CHOICE 84C and RED NORTH 40 OLY S CA- LYPSO 85C tied up at per bull. Altogether Red Angus averaged on

It is great to see newcomers to the purebred industry along with our long time supporters of the All Breeds sale, thanks again to the contributors, buyers and crew for yet another successful Vanderhoof All Breeds Bull Sale. KAMLOOPS SALE TUESDAY APRIL 19 H Well another huge sale today in Kamloops as another 900 head hit the sale ring. Today was a feature of cow/calf pairs with 130 top prices and they were tops. Today started with butcher cows and bulls and then rolled right into feeders. Fred Bowers with big, good Hereford cows 1508 lb. traded to Brandon Abel saw his 1875 lb. butcher bulls mark Neale Bros. Ranch from Merritt built the fire under the feeder trade. 10 head of their 612 lb. Angus heifers hit Russel Abel saw their 1305 lb. butcher cows power to Big Rock Farms from Celista topped our bull trade with 2160 lb. butcher bulls marking Vern Moline from Beaverdell had 830 lb. steers mark Bernadine Bykerk had 580 lb. steers race to Ian & Jo Nelson today showcased their replacement breeding heifers, 858 lb. heifers notched The Quesnel Ranch today had 419 lb. s/c top Ray & Joyce Doll from Heffley Creek with a liner load of yearlings today.
