Feeders, STRS and HFRS were the most plentiful today but we also had 150 calves. We had some cow/calf pairs today. Young August born calves with their mothers sold up to Wayne Klien tested our heavy yearling trade with 1025 lb STRS to Grant Harfmans 1018 lb STRS hit , his top set of 687 lb black STRS reached The Pendergraft Ranch had 763 lb yearling HFRS power to , they also put a nice package of young 365 lb H/C in the ring at Gary Oden today with heavy 903 lb HFRS from Bridesville topped George Hartskamp with heavy 917 lb HFRS that rocked to Scott and Rosie Thordarson s load of 759 lb black STRS hit Philip and Myrna Quinn had 764 lb Angus HFRS sell to Ian and Colleen Hutcheon had 762 lb STRS sell to and their 732 lb black HFRS hit John Pankiw s 671 lb Angus H/C sold to Trotter Ranch had 600 lb Black Angus S/C hit , their beautiful group of 609 lb H/C reached Brenda Kelly s 605 lb S/ C hit , the 533 lb S/C traded to and her 450 lb H/C brought Kathryn Kelly s 450 lb H/C brought and her 501 lb S/C reached Well a huge thank you to all our bidders, buyers and visitors. This was one good sale from start to finish.

3 KAMLOOPS SALE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th, 2017 Huge receipts in Kamloops today as just under 900 head of cattle hit the sale ring. Today was heavy to yearlings but we also saw over 300 calves. Fraser Ranch saw their 2170 lb bulls top Randy and Wendy Prebushewski had 1488 lb cows top Eric Bergstrand put the power to our feeder trade with 968 lb Black Angus HRFS notching , their 1505 lb butcher cows hit The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. had 819 lb STRS today mark head of their 675 lb HFRS hit and their load of 705 lb tan STRS topped Jason Churchill saw his 842 lb Angus STRS reach , and his 946 lb STRS hit McGillvary Land and Livestock s 1100 lb open HFRS hit and their 962 lb HFRS rolled to George Little s 883 lb HFRS sold to Dan and Marilyn Moss saw their 519 lb S/C sell to , their 586 lb black S/C hit and their 578 lb black H/C reached Frog Hollow Ranch s 575 lb black S/C hit and the 383 lb S/C topped Dean Tom from Merritt with a top pen of heavy calves this week. Their 680 lb Angus X S/C notched Shane and Sandra Charters set a pace today on calves as they filled the ring with 676 lb Angus X S/C that traded to , and their 535 lb S/C hit Dorn and Elsie Speed with some of the best calves in the sale, their 715 lb S/C raced to Rae and Lance Allan from Cherryville with a top group of calves. 5 head of their 550 lb Black Angus S/C raced to and their 470 lb S/C today saw Split Brook Ranch saw their 461 lb S/C hit , the 517 lb S/C traded to and their 449 lb H/C reached Ron Eden saw his 733 lb Angus STRS reach , his load of 841 lb STRS rolled to Sean Bennett today blew the doors off with 27 head of 836 lb STRS, all Angus X, they raced to Their 731 lb STRS hit Wadlegger Logging today showcased 25 yearling STRS, 969 lb all Angus X, they traded to Fennel Ranch s 533 lb black S/C hit Well a huge thank you to all our bidders and buyers. 6 Cattle Industry Development Council IMPORTANT NOTICE Beef Cattle Check-Off increasing to $5 per head DELAYED TO 2018 The cattle industry in British Columbia is supporting the increase in check-off to $5.00 per head beginning September 1, This $5 represents both provincial and national check-off amounts. The Canadian Beef Cattle Check-off is increasing to $2.50 per head and at the same time, the provincial check-off is increasing to $2.50.
