5 If you are interested in showing next year, please remember that youth loans are available at the FSA office in Uvalde. The exhibitor must be 10 years old to qualify, and loans are available for up to $ The funds may go toward purchasing animals, feed and equipment. A parent will need to co sign. Please call the office if you have any ques ons, and I will gladly put you in contact with the FSA office so that you can take advantage of this opportunity! Novice Class Exhibitors who are twelve years old or younger and have never shown in more than two county stock shows. Exhibitors will select either breeding sheep or lambs from a group of the respective livestock from a breeder who is selected by the Breeding Sheep/Lamb Committee. Only livestock from the respective group will be shown in the novice class and will be of the same breed & same sex. Novice exhibitors will draw for order and pick their livestock as their turn comes. The first and second place in the Novice Division will compete for Champion/Reserve Champion Novice Division. The above Rules for Champion/Reserve Champion Novice Division will also apply to the Rabbit Division. 6 The Texas Team brought home the Championship Trophy again this year. Overall sweepstakes winners of the whole na onal shoo ng sports compe on. Ma hew s muzzleloading team won 2nd overall...with daily wins of 7th place bullseye; 2nd place bo les and cri ers; and 1st place silhoue es. Ma hew and the State 4H Shoo ng Sports team did fantas c at Na onals. Ma hew was on the Muzzle Loading Team and they finished in 2 nd place out of 14 other States Compe ng. The 2 nd place finish contributed to the Texas Team winning the 1 st place trophy and retaining its Na onal Title.
