1 All-American Dairy Show Sunday Edition September 13, 2015 Daily Schedule: Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show The 60 th annual Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show was held on Saturday in the Equine Arena at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Youth exhibitors from 46 counties showed 630 animals in seven breeds. Taylor Pool, a 4-H member from Berks, Co. has been participating in the Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show for ten years. After showing her calf in the Jersey show, she commented, I enjoy showing here every year because I m passionate about the dairy cattle show industry and I always learn from the placings and the judges reasons. 3 2015 All-American Dairy Show to Host New Events and Activities Educational and networking opportunities part of expanding ancillary components The All-American AgAcademy and a Dairy Girl Network social will join the contests, banquets, shows, and sales that help make the All-American Dairy Show a well-rounded experience for breeders, commercial dairymen and dairy enthusiasts alike. The All-American is known for being a family-focused competition featuring quality awards donated through the generous support of the dairy industry and it s also been about creating a unique event experience for all who attend, said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. With the addition of the All-American AgAcademy, the show receives an important educational component, and, with the presence of the Dairy Girl Network, demonstrates the vital support and leadership that women provide to the dairy industry. The new academy will provide two educational opportunities: Cowside Diagnostics: Why They are More Important than Ever Today on the Farm, presented by Animal Profiling International (API); and The Importance of Trace Minerals for the Reproduction and Immune Function of Dairy Cattle, presented by Multimin, USA. The two topics will be presented at multiple time slots for the convenience of exhibitors and visitors alike, with a catered meal served during each session compliments of API and Multimin, USA. Times are Sunday from 1-2:30 PM. and 6-7:30 PM. and Tuesday from 8:30-10 AM., 11:30 A.M.-1 PM., and 2:30-4 PM. Women in the dairy industry can attend a new networking reception hosted by the - sodales. Dairy Girl Network on Monday, September 14, from 5-7 P.M. to connect with other women who are passionate about the dairy industry. Returning All-American events include: Milkshake Madness a celebrity milkshake making contest. Teams of four comprised of local media personalities, legislators, dairy industry leaders and dairy youth work against the clock and other teams to impress judges by constructing a milkshake using PA Preferred products. The contest, sponsored by New Holland Auto Group, begins Tuesday at 11 AM. Come Snack with the Vendors a time specially set aside after the day s shows when producers can meet with vendors in the Dairy Activities Center from 3:30-5:30 PM on Tuesday. Celebrate with ImmuCell a wine and cheese reception sponsored by ImmuCell on Wednesday at 4:30 PM in the Dairy Activities Center. 3

Individual must be present to claim their prize. New Trade Show Contest New this year! We will be running a contest for participants of our trade show. We are offering a $600 cash prize to the 1 st winner and door prizes to additional participants. Prizes: 1 st prize is a $600 cash award, additional awards will be given out from various companies that support the show Here is a summary of how the contest will work: Participants pick up a blank card at the trade show information table along with a floor map of all the vendors and AgAcademy offerings. They need to attend one of the Multimin/API seminars and the GlamourView Farm virtual tour. At each event, they will receive a sticker. They need to speak to at least 4 vendors at the trade show and get a sticker from each vendor. Each vendor will have stickers available that they will hand out when they have a discussion with an attendee. Once the card is filled up (6 stickers), they fill out the back side listing their name, address, phone and . Winner does not have to be present to win. They drop the card in a box at the trade show information table for the drawing The drawing will be held on the last day of the show, winners will be announced prior to the Supreme Champion Pageant. 4

5 Spotlight on Youth Social Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding kicked off the social with a welcome to exhibitors.
