3 1. No athletes or coaches allowed in the infield during competition. Only coaches working the event should be at the competition area. The finish line is sectioned off. Please do not enter the area. 2. Three Athletes per event are permitted this year. 3. All scratches to be made prior to the start of the meet. 4. Flight sheets have been completed for all field events. Running events are seeded by the HyTek Meet Manager software after the coaches meeting. The 100m, 100m hurdles, and the 200m dashes will be clerked on the track with the seeded lanes. A hip number will be required for all running events. The final member of the relay teams will wear the number. 5. No jewelry and uniform rule will be determined by the weather. 6. Long Jump, Triple Jump, and the Throws will get three attempts. Flights are assigned by seed marks submitted on entry into PennTrack/CX-MileSplit for the meet. Athletes must check the program to see which flight they are to complete 7. Top eight in the field events will go to the finals. 8. Starting height in the vault is 7 0 girls and 10 6 boys. Starting height in the high jump is 4 4 girls and 5 6 boys. 9. We will use 7 lanes and 7 go to finals. The 7 fastest times in the prelim races will advance to the finals. No prelim place will be used for advancement. 10. Heat 1 of the 3200m run will contain the athletes with the higher seed times. The coaches do scratches during the coaches meeting and then we have about 30% more at check in. Please setup all the events in HyTek as described above. Do not to seed the running events until they are clerked. The clerk will bring over the scratch list; the event entries can be updated and then seeded at that point. The heat sheets would then be printed with two copies (one for the clerk and one to stay at the tent). The clerk will tell the athletes their heat and lane assignment. The clerking area will also give them their hip number and they should be ready to run that event. All timed finals will run the slowest heats to the fastest heats. All Jumping and Throwing events can be seeded. The Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot, Discus, and Javelin will be split into 3 flights. The order of the flights will be worst to best. We may have to move some special cases around during the meet as we see athletes that compete in other events, but that will be done at the venue and have to be recorded before the finals. High Jump and Pole Vault should be listed for the program with best marks to worst and for the program all events should be listed that way. The number under the Heats column below is the number of heats we had pre-meet last year. It is only a thinking guide. Question for the 1600 and I know we have to see how many athletes we have, but what is our target number of sections or maximum number of athletes in a section? If we were to have 4 sections of the 3200, do 2 run in the morning and 2 in the afternoon? 11
