7 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE AS EXHIBITED IN MARKET AND IN ADDITION TO THE FOLLOWING: RULES The Shepherd in charge must bring their respective lots forward, take them to and from the Sale Ring, attend until delivered and assist in trucking if required, as the Auctioneers will be responsible only for what is delivered to the purchaser. Should the Shepherd not be in attendance at the time his lots fall to be sold, it will be passed over and taken at the end of the Sale. All stock is at the Seller s risk until taken delivery of by the purchaser. The Sale will proceed in the order of the Catalogue, and all lots not previously entered will be sold only when the list is finished. All Purchases to be settled for and taken delivery of on the Day of Sale. No Stock can be removed without a Pass. Payments will be taken in Cash or Bank Drafts. Strangers granting Cheques must produce satisfactory personal reference or Banker s Letter. Purchasers should see that their Stock is correct before leaving the gates, as no deduction can be made afterwards. No Private Sales prior to the Stock being offered by Auction will be allowed or recognised by the Salesman. The usual commission must be paid on consignments sold privately within this market. Every assistance in loading or keeping overnight, for the accommodation of Buyers, will be arranged, as far as possible, by the Auctioneers who will not be responsible for loss or damage incurred thereby. MINIMUM BID RAM LAMBS 120 SHEARLINGS 150 ADDITIONAL RULES All Rams and Ram Lambs sold are warranted as stockgetters, provided that they are tried to natural service. In the event of any Ram or Ram Lamb, tried to natural service, not fulfilling the warranty, then claims must be intimated to the Auctioneer within 3 months of the date of Sale accompanied by a Veterinary Surgeon s certificate. The amount of any claim will be restricted to the purchase price of the Ram, and will not include any loss of profit or consequent loss or any other claims. Rigg Lambs are not eligible for sale. NOTICE The Council of the Society of Border Leicester Sheep Breeders desires to bring to the notice of the general public that no certificate will be issued by the Society for any animal purchased for export unless said animal is examined and passed by the Society's Inspection Panel.
