1 ROMANIA: Who are the winners of the Progresiv Awards Mar 2018 de Progressive Magazine [1] The Progresiv Awards 2018 Competition has nominated its winners at the Progresiv Gala Awards held at Casino Sinaia on the evening of March 15th, which brought together over 450 retail and FMCG professionals. The only company to go home with three trophies was Mega Image, who won the most votes in the Best International Retailer, Best New Store with the Mega Apetit concept, as well as the Best CSR Project trophy. Coca-Cola HBC won for the second consecutive year the trophy in the "Best FMCG Supplier" category, while Annabella was named "Best Local Retailer". Timisoreana Unpasteurized beer, a product in the portfolio of Ursus Breweries, was the winner of the Best New Food Product category, and Gerovital Plant Deodorants (Farmec) were named "Best New Non- Food Product". 2 In the "Best In-Store Project" category, most of the votes were received by the Staropramen Piano Bar by Bergenbier. In its turn, Interbrands Marketing & Distribution has won the Best Distribution Company trophy. After a close fight in the Outstanding Leadership category, the winners of the Progresiv Awards trophy were Irina Mandoiu, Albalact's Deputy Managing Director and Vasileios Stavrou, Mega Image CEO. Progresiv Awards was started from the desire to highlight the successful people, organizations, brands and projects in the FMCG market that set trends and contribute to the development of the industry, as well as the role of partnerships between retailers and suppliers. The competition targeted companies, brands and products, managers and entrepreneurs active in retail consumer goods in Romania for at least 12 months. The mechanism of establishing the finalists and winners of the Progressive Awards was simple, transparent and objective. The competition involved three stages: the nominations (coming from industry professionals), the validation of the nominations and the establishment of the finalists in the Specialists' Council and the crossvoting. Thus, suppliers awards were granted based on retailers' votes while the retailers' awards were based on suppliers votes. The voting was made through unique links, guaranteeing that a person can only vote once because they become inactive after the poll questionnaire is completed. In total, there were about 5,600 votes for the 10 categories in the Progresiv Awards 2018 competition. Pagina 4 din 5
