The 800m Free and the 1500m Free are to be swum fastest to slowest alternating women and men as the last event of the day three heat session except for the fastest seeded heats of each event which will swim during the evening finals. The consolation final shall precede the championship final in each event in the final session.

4 Please refer to the CIS website for a complete list of rules and regulations. Opening Ceremonies: On Thursday, February 20th we will need a male and female representative to do a march-on for the opening ceremonies. Please have your two swimmers meet outside the pool office no later than 5:45pm on Thursday. NOTE: To maintain excellent air quality, we may have to turn on extra fans. Therefore, the pool deck may be colder than usual so please warn swimmers to be prepared to dress accordingly. SECTION 2 DETAILED INFORMATION PARTICIPANT SPECIFIC 5. PARTICIPATION TEAM INFORMATION Teams can check-in at the welcome tent in the main lobby beginning Tuesday, February 18 at 8:30am-11:15am and again from 3:30pm-6:15pm. Accreditation for facility access and coaches packages will be given to the head coach of each team. Participating Team Information Form All participating teams are asked to submit the attached form (Appendix A) by Wednesday, February 12 to: Steve Manchur, steve.manchur@utoronto.ca. 6. MEDIA PRESS CONFERENCE & ACCREDITATION 7.1 MEDIA PRESS CONFERENCE: There will be no scheduled media conference prior to the championships. Jill Clark will be in contact with participating teams for specific media requests. Media kits will be available at the event for all media. 7.2 MEDIA ACCREDITATION: Institutions with school or local media attending the championship are asked to submit information including name, type of media, contact name and phone number. REGISTRATION & TEAM ACCREDITATION Registration Entry deadline is 3:00PM EST / 12:00 PM PST on Monday, February 17. Each competitor may pre-enter a maximum of six individual events. Each competitor may only compete in a maximum of four (4) individual events. Changes to entries are permitted up to the start of the CIS championships technical meeting at a cost $50 per change. Entries are to be submitted to Proof of time reports will need to be submitted for any times not shown on ranking, including relays. The current year of eligibility of each swimmer must be included with the HYTek/Splash files and subsequently included on the entry sheets, preliminary heats sheets, and final sheets. NOTE: do NOT use the swimmer s age, it MUST be the year of eligibility. The meet event set up file is located at Accreditation Each team will receive a maximum number of accreditation passes based on team complement: 1-15 qualified swimmers = 3 staff accreditations; = 4 accreditation; over 30 = 6 staff accreditations. Any additional accreditation passes must be requested in advance of the championships. Please forward your request to Steve Manchur, steve.manchur@utoronto.ca. Additional passes will cost $20/each. The request for accreditation for school presidents and athletic directors is separate and not included in the team number. This should also be sent to Steve Manchur, steve.manchur@utoronto.ca. Accreditation passes will be available at the Varsity Blues check-in tent in the main lobby of the Athletic Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday during practice times. 11. 7 We encourage our hosts and participating championship teams to help grow these important partnerships. 12: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 12.1 FACILITIES VARSITY POOL (50m): 55 Harbord Street (South East corner of Spadina and Harbord) Seating Capacity: Athletes Seating: 275 Spectator Seating: 350 From the Gardiner Expressway: Gardiner Expressway to Spadina Ave. Turn left (go north) on Spadina Ave. Turn Right onto Harbord St and enter through first set of doors. From 401 (East of DVP): 401 West to Don Valley Pkwy. Don Valley Pkwy South to Bloor St. West on Bloor St. to Spadina Ave.. Turn Left onto Spadina Ave. Turn Left on Harbord St and enter through first set of doors. From 401 (West of Allen Road): 401 East to Allen Road. Allen Road South to end (Eglinton). Turn left (go east) onto Eglinton. Turn right (go south) onto Bathurst St. Turn left (go east) onto Harbord St. Enter through first set of doors. TTC: Take the subway on either the Bloor line or the Yonge/University/ Spadina line to Spadina station. The Athletic Centre is within walking distance (8-10minutes) or you can take the Spadina street car south to Harbord St. stop. Parking: Parking is available in lots around the facility. Parking Rates: Half Hourly $3.00 Daily Maximum (until 10:00pm) $ $15.00 Evening maximum after 4pm to 6am $ $8.00 Saturday, Sunday & Holiday maximum $ $8.00 EQUIPMENT The Omega timing system will be used for the duration of the championships.

8 12.2 THERAPY / MEDICAL SERVICES: Contact: Andrea Prieur, andrea.prieur@utoronto.ca On-site coverage Lifeguards will be available for emergency care at all practices and throughout the competition. A Certified Athletic therapist or Sport Physiotherapist will be on-site for follow up emergency care, assessment and treatment/rehabilitation during the competition and will have phone access to oncall physicians. Emergency First aid supplies will be available at the competition venue, but teams must supply their own tape and sports supplies. If needed, supplies could be purchased from the Host Therapist, on a charge-back basis. Teams requiring the services of a designated student therapist are requested to contact Andrea Prieur at least one (1) week prior to the tournament.
