These jobs are easy. Work together and have a great meet. Deck Marshalls are responsible for making sure that no one engages in unsafe behavior on the pool deck - such as running, etc. The Deck Marshall should also keep an eye on the cool down lanes to make sure that no one is pulling on lane lines or rough housing in the water. Only USA Swimming Certified Swimmers are allowed in the Pool during the meet, so the Deck Marshall should report anyone that he thinks isn't a carded member to the Meet Referee. One example of this might be little kids who are are NOT competing in the meet entering the cool down area to play. Meet Marshalls must be an Adult. The competition area of the Pool is monitored by Meet Referees and Coaches.
