1 Pro Circuit Program An official program is provided to tournaments to give spectators insight into what the Pro Circuit is all about. The official Pro Circuit program includes player biographies, photos from tournaments, and stories from the circuit. The cover of the official program follows the selected marketing artwork of the year. Quantities Per Tournament: Women s $10K - $25K events receive 300 programs. Men s Futures events receive 300 programs. Orders for programs are placed by the USTA Pro Circuit office once the Tournament Order Form is submitted by the Tournament Director. Women s $50K and above and men s Challengers receive 500 programs.

2 Sponsor Benefit & Selling Ad Space The inside-front cover, the back cover, and the inside-back cover of the program are all available real estate to either sell as ad space or include as a sponsor benefit. You may also insert additional pages in the program. Depending on your sponsorship categories or levels you may choose to sell full-page ads, half page, quarter page or business-size ads. Additional pages, binding and finishing the program are done at the expense of the tournament. Sample Ads:

3 Unbound Programs vs Bound Programs Some tournaments may choose not to sell advertising space within the program and simply print on the front cover. If this is the case, the USTA will send bound programs with covers already printed. The USTA covers all costs for printing the cover for bound programs. BOUND PROGRAMS: For tournaments that order bound programs, the USTA s publisher will imprint the tournament title along with submitted logos on the cover at the USTA s expense. Tournaments must provide any logos to be included on the cover. The USTA handles all correspondence with the publisher. Please supply the exact copy and logos as you want it to appear on the cover. Logos must be ed in jpeg; eps or tiff formats. The resolution must be 300dpi or greater for the best imprint results. UNBOUND PROGRAMS: Tournaments who wish to advertise within the program must request to receive unbound programs. If you choose the unbound option, programs will arrive unbound with covers flat and uncut with inserts also included: a large sheet with the 2 covers-up for imprinting (not trimmed yet) with a sheet size of x The text inset itself, supplied already folded with one stitch (loose stapeling and untrimmed The shipment of unbound programs may go directly to the printer. If the site of the tournament is provided as a shipping address, the tournament must bring all unbound programs to a local printer. The local printer will then have the covers imprinted, trimmed down, folded and saddlestitched with the text inset. A regular finished book has a trim size of x Discuss with your printer his/her deadline in receiving all artwork, logos, and print as well as the time needed to print all the programs. Estimated Printing Costs: Tournaments on average have spent around $1,000 - $1,300 on printing.

4 Cover Guidelines Space is provided on the cover of the program for a tournament s title, date, location, logo and sponsor logos. Avoid placing too many logos or too much information.

5 Program Inserts Tournaments who order unbound programs decide to do so as a means to provide their spectators with more tournament information. Many tournaments will include one page of all the activities taking place during the tournament week. It is common as well to find a welcome letter from a Tournament Director, a sponsor, a club s General Manager, and even the local Tourism Bureau. 6 Ways to Use the Program Through the years, Tournament Directors have been creative in how they highlight the program at their event. Here are some examples: At the men s Futures in Harlingen, TX, the programs were used at an autograph signing session held with some players. Some tournaments such as the Tiburon Challenger place the program directly on the chairs of VIP or Sponsors.

7 Tips & Comments From Tournaments: To ensure fans are looking through the program, add an inset daily such as the order of play, draws, bios of feature matches and events of the day... It s a great promotion and marketing tool for sponsorship. We have tried to sell the booklet and at the end of the day we sell - $100 and have booklets we are trying to ditch at the end of the tournament. Our strategy now is to get the booklet out to as many ticket holders as we can even if we are short at the end of the event. We position sponsorship levels as positions in the booklet and the inserts by the size of the ads. We do not sell ads individually they are included in the overall sponsorship sell.
