3 MESSAGE FROM DR HASSEN ADAMS Executive Chairman of BURGER KING South Africa Today's match against the Mambinhas is the second step of what we hope will be a long journey for Amajita, stopping in Niger next year before finishing in Poland. It is a road well travelled for Amajita. Last year the men's under-20 national team qualified for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Korea Republic after finishing fourth at the CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Zambia. Further success was achieved at a Tri-Nations invitational tournament hosted by England and then again in Zambia at the end of the year when Amajita lifted the COSAFA U-20 crown. We have watched these players grow and rise through the ranks. Some players in this group were part of the team that participated in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile which is proof that the structures are in place that allow for development and growth at national level. As the title sponsor of Amajita, we are impressed by the journey towards Vision 2022 and believe it is firmly on track. Our objective remains to develop young footballers in South Africa. This team, earmarked as the next generation of Bafana Bafana players, has already produced some senior caps and we are very hopeful that more players will turn out for Bafana Bafana as they take to the field in the coming years and play world-class football thanks to all the training and opportunities at the junior level. This is only Amajita's second competitive match of the year but you scored the all important away goal in last week's first leg 1 1 draw in neighbouring Beira City. The overall winner today will face the victors in the clash between Malawi and Angola, with the winner securing their spot in the eight-nation U20 AFCON tournament in Niger next February, where Zambia are the defending champions. It s not easy to score an away goal, and having done so last week against Mozambique puts us in a strong position over the two legs. If we score one goal in South Africa, we will be in the driving seat, but we have to work hard to get that goal, then we will be able to control the match without any pressure. The bigger picture is the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, preceded by the 2019 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Niger. The aim is to take it one game at a time so our focus is on Mozambique, because for us to get to Niger and Poland we have to deal with Mozambique first. We are developing players to play under tough conditions, and this exercise is a good one to develop the mental toughness of our young men and I have no doubt that they will grow to become top players for U23 and Bafana Bafana.
