2 From the CCS PTA Schoolkidz Back-to-School Supply Kits Online Order Deadline is Wednesday, June 1 If you have any questions, please send an to ccsnypta@gmail.com. Ordering the kits is very easy and they will be on your child's desk the first day of school. From the Elementary School Supporting The Ride for Missing Children Wear white, pink and light blue on Friday, June 3rd Please wear white, pink, and light blue on Friday, June 3rd, to show our support for Mrs. Moshier as she completes the 100 mile long bike ride for The Ride for Missing Children. 3 The girls wrote an article about Monica and her Ride for the Missing Children. This is the 20th year of the Ride for Missing Children. It started in 1995 as a small group of 7 men and now has become the biggest annual fundraiser for missing children. The first ride was from Utica to Washington DC. This is what inspired what we know today as The Ride. Currently, there are over 450 rider participants. Being a bicyclist in the ride is a huge challenge and time commitment. The riders will be riding 2 by 2 as a unified team for just under 100 miles. To be able to be a rider in the ride, you must train year round. One must be able to ride at a speed of miles per hour. The riders must also have their own bike, helmet, gloves, jersey, safety glasses, and proper shoes. Each rider also needs to raise 500 dollars which equals enough money to distribute 2,000 posters. The riders ride to honor the memory of all missing children, to raise money in order to make posters for missing children, and to increase awareness of safety for children. One way the riders increase awareness is by stopping at schools along their route. they stop at schools to take a rest, but more importantly to teach children about everyday safety. Anyone can participate in the Ride for Missing Children. One can be a rider or a volunteer. Volunteers are an equal member of the team and the ride doesn't happen without them. Volunteers are needed all year long to help out and get ready for the ride. Lastly, we would like to thank Mrs. Moshier for her participation in the ride and for taking the time in her busy schedule to raise awareness for the Ride for Missing Children. Calling All 5 th Grade Parents! The fifth grade class ceremony will take place on June 15th, at 10 am, in the theater. Immediately following the ceremony, students and teachers will celebrate with a picnic at the Kirkland Town Park. In case of rain, the celebration will be at the Clinton Arena. Please continue to send donations to school, checks payable to Clinton PTA. Place donations in an envelope clearly marked "Fifth Grade Picnic". All donations will offset the cost of class t-shirts, food, beverages and activities at the picnic. Thank you, The 5 th Grade Planning Committee From the Middle School Monday Funday Crew The Monday Funday Crew is a group of students who help change the way a person may feel on a Monday morning. Motivating music is played and inspirational quotes are handed out taped to a dark chocolate Hershey Kiss and many smiles! The Crew sets up at different entrances of the school meeting and greeting everyone with a smile from 7:30-7:50am. It is a great way to start a Monday! Student leaders involved are: Natalie Hearn, Hannah Litz, Clare Falbo, Melina Korfonta, Mariah Seward and Shaylee Kiger. Not pictured Madison Dery. Mrs. Buschmann assists the Crew in the endeavors to make others feel happier.

4 From the High School Clinton High School senior Mikel Quintana named 2016 Teen All-Star Congratulations to Mikel Quintana! Click below to read the article on Mikel. Clinton Boys and Girls Varsity Track Clinton's boys and girls Varsity track captured the 2016 Junkyard relays team championship on Friday 5/21/16. This was the 23rd annual running of the relays that feature some unique and fun events. In addition to track relays, the field events are conducted "relay style" adding the best 3 performances together from each school and then determining places on paper as a result. Team scoring is an aggregate of both boys and girls points scored during the meet and trophies are awarded to the top 8 schools overall. CCS accumulated 309 total points to win the title in the 18 school competition. Full team scores and results are available at Highlights for CCS include: -33 boys scored points towards the team total for CCS (led by Junior Enzo Cicchinelli with 33, Seniors Marcus Burkle and Brandon Broccoli with 27 each and Junior Fritz Gale with 25) -25 girls scored for the Warriors (led by Senior Yelena Dunikova with 40 and Senior Kristina Gudnaya with 38. Junior workhorse Gabrielle Dewhurst also contributed 38 while Senior Aneesa Lewis and Sophomore Tammy LLoyd chipped in with 34 each. Mainly Throwers...Lewis and LLoyd joined Seniors Carly Sinclair and Maggie Shaw to win a dramatic Throwers Relay Race by 0.37 of a second! It was one of a "sweep" of all 3 throwers races by CCS boys and girls. Seven CCS girls school relay records were broken and one individual school record was broken (7th grader Maddi Walters threw 78' 1" in the Javelin to beat Sophia Atik's school record of 77' 2" set in Sophia competed on the women's track and field team for Tufts University. Next up for CCS is the Section III Class B-2 Championship finals on Thursday 5/26/16 at CCS. Gun goes off at 3:30pm! Clinton Central School Marching Band Monday, May 30 at 9 AM CCS Band Students, Faculty, Parents and Alums are all coming together for a great cause-- to march and pay tribute on Memorial Day! The band will be marching in the Clinton Memorial Day Parade and participating in the ceremonies on the Clinton Village Green on Monday, May 30th. The parade is sponsored by the Clinton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9591 in conjunction with Helmuth-Ingalls American Legion Post am start at College Street Bridge, proceeding up College Street to the Village Green where a Memorial Day Service will be held.

The resident directors do not receive a salary for the guidance and support they provide the boys. Clinton ABC receives no funding from the state or federal government, and no financial support from the national ABC organization.
