6 Room Eiffelton Wearable Arts Poems to share.. Athletics day I saw people sprinting down the fifty metres I heard everyone s feet thumping on the ground as they were sprinting to the finish line I felt the the sun shining on me I thought it was nearly over but wasn t I heard people cheering me on as I was running the last straight of the relay I smelt the sausages as people ate them around me I touched the sand in the long jump pit I wondered if I made it the counties Ben Pearson I saw the children run their hearts out for the sprints. I saw people knock the bar in high jump. I heard the gun fire and people sprint fast. I heard people s feet hit the ground in a thump. I tasted the victory on my tongue. I tasted that good feeling running through my body. I touched the sweat on my head. I touched Jayden s new iphone. I felt the joy in body. I felt the relay batton hit my hand. I thought I would win in high jump. I thought I would make it to counties. I wondered if I would come a place in everything. I wondered if I would last to the end of the day. Taylor Lamont Athletics Day Poem I heard people say my heart s going to pump out of my chest. I thought to myself I can t do the rest. I saw people sprint past as they were going very fast. I tasted a scrumptious chocolate biscuit. In everything I knew I had to risk it. I touched the spiky saw dust but I hoped it wasn t rust. I felt the burning hot sun, I wished this would be over and done. I felt like I was going to die but at that point I knew it wasn t the best time to lie. I wondered would my mum be mad, but at the end of the day she was actually very very glad. By Isobel In Room Eiffelton we have been doing some recycled wearable arts. We had Sheryl Stivens here to help us design and create what we wanted. We went and shared them at the A and P show on Saturday the 29th of October.
