I would encourage all parents to follow our Facebook Page as it allows us to share the most current and up-to-date information regularly. We also try to keep a close eye on the Inbox to ensure we can field any questions or queries that arise. Thank you to all parents who helped us cheer on our wonderful athletes on the day! Banner Winners Congratulations Mackenzie Mears, Harvey Wilks and Ewan Watts. We are halfway through Term 3 so hang on as we pick up speed and rush towards the Term 3 Holidays. It will be Christmas before you know it! Ian Foulstone Zone Athletics Carnival On Friday 31st July, our athletes competed at the Zone Athletics Carnival at Woodberry. It was a fantastic day! We showed wonderful sportsmanship in every event we participated in and represented our school with pride. At the end of the day, East Maitland Public School were the overall winners! A big congratulations to every student who tried their very best. He was drinking while I was dancing. He saw me. Next, the cat started chasing me and I ran under the lounge. He waited for me. Then, I ran behind the leg of the table and he didn't find me so I decided to put on a song to dance like Michael Jackson to. Later, I was dancing on the colourful rug and he tried to get me again. I was feeling very scared. Finally, I tried to get the cat's attention but the annoying owner picked him up and went off to give him a bath. Boy it is hard being a mouse! - Montanna PSSA Knockout Competition On Monday our girls touch team travelled to Muswellbrook to compete against Muswellbrook South PS in round 3 of the PSSA Knockout Competition. It was a very close game however our girls were defeated 4-3. The level of sportsmanship displayed by our girls was exceptional. Thank you to the parents who assisted with transport on the day.

3 Reminder that the P&C meeting is tomorrow Thursday 13 th August at 9:20am in the staffroom. New members are most welcome, the more the merrier. Meetings are kept under an hour and non-school aged siblings are welcome. We discuss future funding suggestions, safety issues, fundraising ideas and anything else of concern in the school environment. Too Sick for School Sometimes it's hard to know if your child is really coming down with something or just suffering a bout of Monday-itis. For safety's sake, if your child seems unwell you should always keep them home from school and seek medical advice. However, if they miraculously recover by 11:00am, ready to race around the backyard, keeping them in bed all day may send the message that staying home isn't nearly as much fun as going to school.
