1 September First Day of : Our first day of school with be a normal school day from 8:15am-3pm. Back-to- Family Night: Celebrate the start of the new school year with the entire family! We will have bounce houses and plenty of child entertainment. Sweet Frog Mobile will be onsite from 4pm-6pm. Going Out: Our first outing with be at the Science Museum of Virginia as we plan to see the Speed/Evolution & Planetarium Show. Parent drivers/chaperones will be needed. BTS Night: This parent only event provides parents with a glimpse into the classrooms and the framework for the school year. We ask that at least one parent from each family attend this important event First Day of BTS Picnic 4pm-6:30pm Emma! Lela! Going out: Science Museum of Virginia Back to Night 6:15pm- 7:30pm 28 29

2 October 2018 Chipotle Fundraiser Day: Dine out and support TMS at the Chipotle located at 7000 Forest Avenue. 33% of proceeds will go back to TMS. See flyer for more details TMS Night: Chipotle Going Out: We will enjoy a trip to the river on 10/16 and Upper will enjoy a trip to the Richmond Symphony on 10/25. 3 November 2018 TMS Visitors: AWARE Animal Rescue organization talking about and showing animals in the wild and a visitor from the Valentine discussing the lives of the Eastern Woodland Indians of Virginia and their reliance on natural resources Parent/Teacher Conferences: This is our Fall check-in with parents to discuss your children. Have you child pick out their favorite dry foods from the grocery store to share with those in need. Donations will be made collectively to FeedMore, the Central VA Food Bank. 4 December 2018 Fest Celebration: We will celebrate the beginning of with all things winter! Cookie decorating, fun games, songs and more, This will be a carnival day for the students. Parent volunteers will be needed. TMS Family Day: We will gather for a special performance of Mary Poppins at 10:30am at the November Theater. Extended family is welcome.
