3 Cole Massey shot this eightpoint buck pictured left on Sunday morning, October 28, the final day of Youth Season when those under 17 can hunt with their rifles before the regular rifle season begins. Cole says that it is his biggest deer so far. It is the fourth one he has gotten on the Massey Farm. His granddad said that there is still an even bigger monster deer waiting for him out there. Cole s brother, first grader Lucas, says that the monster buck has his name on it, though, when he gets just a little older and his big brother thinks he has learned to be really still and quiet in the deer stand.. 9 FFA Competes at Autumn Trails Autumn Trails is held each year in Winnsboro. In conjunction with that event they have a livestock show. Showing from Sulphur Bluff are students pictured L-R Maycee Potts, Quincie Duncan, McKenna Duncan, Shelby Williams, Cody Vance, and kneeling, Landon Earley. They will be showing calves and goats. FFA will also be competing in District LDE s next Friday, November 9, in Greenhand and Senior Creed Speaking as well as Greenhand and Senior Quiz. Casey Gore will compete in Senior Creed Speaking. The other team members are yet to be announced. Amy Northcutt and Jaden Goldsmith pictured right were the lucky winners of 8th grade's Jolly Rancher contest. They collaborated to guess that there were 1220 Jolly Ranchers in the container. There actually was a total of Good job! Page 9

11 42 Tournament at the Halloween Carnival Community members came out to a night of camaraderie at last Friday s Halloween Carnival where they enjoyed stew, a 42 Tournament, and Bingo, as well as games for their kiddos. Sulphur Bluff PTO appreciates all the patrons and the members/teachers/ volunteers who helped to make the carnival a success. The final round of 42 play was between the teams of Tony Dehart and L.G. Hankins and Travis and Jane Patridge. The overall winners were Tony Dehart and L.G. Hankins! They even painted pink streaks in people s hair and created pink snacks. With those activities on that one day they raised $ FCCLA wants to thank all those who supported the cause. Jaycee Halbert and Katelyn McDonald with Dalena Wilkins, Angel Brown, and Diana Rosas Next week, November 5-9, Beta will be hosting Anti-Bullying Awareness Week To help support the cause, please dress in character for each themed day!
