1 Newsletter #3 14 February 2019 Raising Funds for the Matric BALL on Valentine s Day Rand Park s campus was transformed by the Matric Dance Committee (MDC) into a red and white Valentine s-themed zone over the weekend. This was followed by three days of selling Valentine s gifts, sorting and packing them in preparation for Valentine s Day. This work is done as one of the fundraising campaigns run by Grade 11 learners who serve on the Committee. Valentine s Day raises money to assist with covering some of the costs of the annual Matric Ball. Balloons, roses, chocolates, themed badges and serenades were distributed to learners by the MDC earlier today to celebrate the occasion. Thank you to the MDC for their hard work and to all their supporters for buying the Valentine s gifts.
