3 General Conditions for Section 8 (Sugarcane) Entry Fee Entries Close & Exhibits Due Judging Free Entry Entries accepted til 4pm Wednesday 12/7/2017 Judging of exhibits to commence at 7am on Thursday Prizes Prizes must be collected from MSF Sugar after the show 1 st Prize Voucher or Product (Prize money quoted does not include GST and assumes entry is a hobby. Any entrant whose entry is part of their business will need to quote their business name and ABN. If GST is applicable, we will gross up the prize so entrant is not disadvantaged. Failure to quote an ABN (for business) will result in the deduction of PAYG withholding tax of 48.5%). CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Standard Conditions Conditions for Exhibiting All Exhibits must have been grown by Exhibitor. All Exhibits entered in this section becomes the property of the Innisfail and District Show Society following judging. To be eligible show cane it must be sourced from a field that is grown to be commercially milled. All exhibits must be on the SRA recommended variety list for Sugar Industry Plant Quarantine area (PQA02). The selected major varieties Q200 Q251 Q208 Q183 Q250 Q231 will each form a major class. In addition there will also be one class for all other SRA recommended minor varieties and one historical exhibit category. If there are less than four entries in one class the judge may decide to group those entries into another class. Stand over cane entries will not be accepted. Each cane exhibit must be clearly labelled with the entrants name and the variety. Exhibits are to be delivered to the Innisfail Show Grounds before 4pm on the Wednesday preceding the show. If growers cannot make this time please contact your Cane Officer or Bianca Spannagle IBCPS to arrange pick up ( ).

4 Heaviest Three Stick Exhibits Heaviest three stick exhibit entries consist of three (3) sticks of any approved variety in the below mentioned variety classes. Three stick exhibits must be cut close to the ground with the tops left on. To assist stewards please tie three stick exhibits together and label variety and name Class 1 Class 2 Class 3 Class 4 Class 5 Class 6 Class 7 HISTORICAL PRIZE (Badilla) Q208 Q200 Q250 Q251 Q231 Q183 Minor Varieties A separate prize for this category will be given. Exhibit can be grown under any condition and must be entered by a MSF Sugar cane supplier. EXHIBITORS PRIZE A prize will be given for the lucky exhibitor; all entries in all classes will be eligible for this prize which will be randomly selected on Thursday of the show. CHAMPION CANE EXHIBIT OF SHOW The Champion Cane exhibit of the show will be judged between the winners of classes 1 to 7 using the heavy sweet criteria.
