1 CHANGE: Autmatically turns n the unit when the abslute ambient pressure is greater than 1100 mbar (previusly was 1300 mbar). Result is faster aut-n when dive starts with Predatr turned-ff. As a reminder, this aut-n feature is designed as a backup. We always recmmend turning yur Predatr n befre a dive starts t cnfirm functinality and setup. Imprtant Ntice Change t surface pressure determinatin IMPROVEMENT: Imprvements have been made t ensure the surface pressure (i.e. the atmspheric air pressure) determinatin is mre reliable fr divers at high altitudes, regardless f hw the Predatr is turned n. The surface pressure is nw determined by the fllwing: When in sleep mde (ff), the pressure is sampled every 15 secnds. The last 10 minutes f pressure samples are saved. Upn turn-n (regardless f the cause), the minimum pressure frm the 10 minute pressure histry is set as the surface pressure. The exceptin is when the battery is changed, since there is n 10 minute histry. In this case it is assumed that the unit is n the surface, s the current pressure is used as the surface pressure. FIX: Fixed wrng CNS calculatin in Dive Planner during diving. FIX: Fixed wrng CNS and gas usage calculatin in Dive Planner after the Salinity is changed. 2 CHANGE: The dive planner nw inserts ascent legs in the results table t perfrm gas switches during the initial ascent t the first dec stp. The decmpressin calculatins always included these switches, but the planner results were nly shwing a single ascent t the first dec stp using the bttm gas. This change results in mre accurate gas usage results fr sme dives. DiveCAN Cntrller Mdels: Imprtant Ntice Change t aut setpint switching CHANGE: Changes t aut setpint switch behaviur. The reasns fr these changes are: Allws each setpint switch t ccur mre than nce per dive, but under mre cntrlled circumstances. Mre intuitive behaviur. Fights less with manual setpint switches. The changes are: The switch dwn depth is nw enfrced t be less than the switch up depth, by at least 20ft (6m). The minimum switch dwn depth is 5ft (2m). Thus, the minimum switch up depth is 25ft (8m). Each aut setpint switch can nw ccur as many times per dive as the switch depth is crssed. The 20ft (6m) enfrced gap between the up and dwn depths prevents scillatins. A switch up will nly ccur while descending (ging deeper) acrss the switch up depth. A switch dwn will nly ccur while ascending (ging shallwer) acrss the switch dwn depth. If a manual setpint switch ccurs, the aut switch will be cancelled if within 6ft (2m) f the aut switch depth. Previusly, each aut switch directin culd nly ccur nce per dive. Als, previusly the aut setpint switches culd fight with manual switches under certain cnditins, requiring the manual switch t be perfrmed twice. This fighting culd als lead t the ne aut switch being inadvertently cnsumed, which culd cause cnfusin later in the dive when the aut switch wuld nt ccur as expected. Page 2 f 13

In V56, a change was made t prmte the 0.19 PPO2 setpint up t the lw setpint (e.g. 0.7) whenever the wet cntacts detected water. This change prved t be unppular t the pint that divers refused t update, s we have decided t remve this feature. The intent was t imprve safety by preventing a diver frm perfrming a surface swim with the setpint at As a reminder, the 0.19 setpint is nly fr maintenance and strage, and shuld never be selected when breathing n the lp, even if just pre-breathing ut f the water. As in all ther versins, the 0.19 setpint is autmatically prmted t lw setpint when a dive begins. During calibratin, display f O2 Cell millivlts turns yellw when millivlts are utside f acceptable range (range varies with O2% and altitude, but at 1 ATM and 98% O2, the acceptable range is 30mV t 70mV). Fixed saving f Aut Setpint Switch settings. Changed s external (slenid) battery is nly updated when the slenid is firing. This is dne because the battery vltage can be errneusly high when slenid is nt n. If yu see Ext. V = 0.0 after turning Predatr n, this may be because the slenid has nt yet fired.
