4 Report Check-In Managers will report to J. Craig Community Center to check in (coaches are welcome to attend) We will take your credentials and collect your tournament fees. We will have breakfast available with a short meeting to cover any rules and the chief umpire will be available to answer any additional questions that you may have. ALL CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO SYLACAUGA PARKS AND RECREATION. TOURNAMENT FEES ARE $650. Following the meeting we will have a short opening ceremony to introduce all of the teams, honor our country and have to official first pitch. We ask that your teams all participate in the opening ceremonies regardless of your first game time. First Pool Play Games will 10AM with games following all day.

5 Donald Comer Jr. Complex Park Information 1115 Spring Valley Road Sylacauga, Al FIRST OF ALL some GPS have issue with our address. If your GPS takes you down Twin Street DO NOT TURN RIGHT the road will go from a divided road back to a single two lane road. Continue Straight and the complex will be on the Right. 2. TEAM COOLERS are allowed IN THE DUGOUT. 3. Our park is older and lacks shade. You may find that our park does not have some of the amenities that newer parks may have. There is little to no covered area and electrical outlets for fans or other devises are extremely limited. However although our facility is older we do maintain our fields to the highest standard. 4. We have all dirt infields with a generous amount infield conditioner. All of our fences are 200 temporary fences and the infield dirt is cut our for 70 base standards. The main fences are 300 this allows 100 of grass area behind the temp fences where you are welcome to set up your tents and chairs to enjoy the games without having to move all of your stuff after every game. ALL TEAMS WILL REMAIN ON THE SAME FIELD FOR ALL OF THEIR POOL PLAY GAMES. 5. No smoking is allowed inside the fence or 30 from the fence of the main entrances. 6. No artificial noisemakers or air horns. 7. WE WILL HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR PROFANITY OR VIOLENCE TOWARD ANYONE. We are here for the players to enjoy playing the game that they love. If you decrease their experience in any manner you will be asked to leave the complex for the remainder of the tournament. Batting Cages and Nets We have two batting cages and 4 fields. Your teams is asked to only occupy one cage at a time and please get your swings in a timely manner to allow other teams the opportunity to use it. Each field has 50 nets right past the backstop with warning track material in front of them. This is a prime place to practice soft toss and other hitting before your game starts. 6 The 8U, 10U and 11U State Tournaments be held within 25 Miles of each other. You may consider Inverness for hotels. Inverness is 40 miles from Sylacauga but it has are large selection of hotels, restaurants and other activities. 7 TOURNAMENT DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS AND PREPARATION The following documents are required by Babe Ruth League, Inc. of each team before they are eligible to participate in any sanctioned Babe Ruth League, Inc. post season tournament. 1. Tournament documents are to be placed in a three ring binder in the order listed below. 2. These documents are to be placed in clear plastic, top loading paper savers before being placed in the binder. Page 1: Birth Document** Page 2: Certificate of Insurance (accident and general liability) Page 3: Tournament Roster * Page 4: Letter of League Eligibility Page 5: Medical Releases (4 Copies per Player) Page 6: Pictures (4 5x7 or 8x10 color or black and white) Page 7: Coaches Certification ID Cards or Certificates Page 8: Charter Page 9: Letter of Waivers Page 10: Local League Rosters (tournament team players highlighted) Page 11: Local League Schedule Page 12: Affidavits (to be signed after managers/coaches meeting) Page 13: League Boundaries Page 14: Head Coach & Assistant Coaches Heads Up Concussion Certificate Page 15: Concussion Forms on each player signed by a parent or guardian. **Birth Documents: See Babe Ruth Rule 0.04 paragraph 1- A for a list of acceptable documents. Consent for treatment form on each player. MUST BE FOUR PART FORM PROVIDED BY BABE RUTH LEAGUE, INC. *1. Each player s birth document is to be placed in the front of the plastic saver with consent for treatment form in the back or under birth document. They are then placed in the binder in the same order as they are listed on the Tournament Team Roster.
