Daniel Arribas hit a solo home run in the second to open the scoring, but Chase Vallot evened the score in the home half of the inning. Mitchell Tolman took Foster Griffin yard in the fourth for his first professional home run and a 2-1 Power lead, Logan Sendelbach made that lead hold up though six innings, allowing six hits and walking just one while striking out four. In the eighth, Alfredo Reyes hit a two-run home run to left-center to extend the lead. Ke Bryan Hayes added a run-scoring single in the ninth. Sendelbach earned the win and Griffin took the loss. Tanner Anderson worked two scoreless out of the Power bullpen for his second hold. DOMINATING: West Virginia has beaten Lexington in each of their seven meetings this season. West Virginia holds a record in the all-time series, including a mark in Lexington since The Power and Legends close this series today and do not meet again until June 13 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark for a three-game set. Only Lynchburg, Cleveland s High-A affiliate in the Carolina League, has matched West Virginia with a 14-3 record and an.813 winning percentage. ON DECK: After a league-wide off day tomorrow, West Virginia will host Rome for three days and Asheville for four during a seven game homestand. Heading into play today, the Braves are 5-12 while the Tourists are PERFECT TEN: Alfredo Reyes went 1-3 Saturday, hitting a two-run home run in the top of the eighth to extend his hitting streak to 10 games and his on-base streak to 12. The shortstop has a.343 average during the streak and is now batting.273 this season after having gone hitless in the three games before the streak began. SAY HAYES: Ke Bryan Hayes has hit safely in six straight games and leads the Power with a.393 average. The six game streak is the longest of his professional career. ONLY ONE: JT Brubaker allowed a solo home run in the third inning during Friday s nightcap. It would be the only hit the right-hander would surrender. Tate Scioneaux followed with two hitless innings as the duo combined to throw the first one-hitter by the Power pitching staff since July 23, 2013 when Tyler Glasnow and Jhondaniel Medina one-hit the Kannapolis Intimidators at Appalachian Power Park during game one of a doubleheader. MUNOZ THE MASHER: Carlos Munoz launched his first home run of the season in game two of Friday s doubleheader. The first baseman hit 12 last season between the Appalachian League and the New York-Penn League. Munoz was named Appalachian League Player of the Year for his exploits. 12 home runs in 2015 placed him in a four way tie for third within the Pirates Minor League system, trailing only Stetson Allie and Willy Garcia. POWER POINTS: The next former Power player to reach the Majors will be the 50 th to do so in franchise history... Mitch Keller has made three starts this season and has struck out 10 batters in two of those three games. Keller is the reigning South Atlantic League Pitcher-of-the-Week for his efforts from April 7 through 17. West Virginia swept one doubleheader last year en route to an 87 win season. The Power beat the Lexington Legends twice one year ago yesterday, winning game one 3-2 in eight innings and taking game two 5-2 at Appalachian Power Park. AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh lost a 7-1 final to Arizona. The Diamondbacks scored five times in the eighth to seal the win... Jameson Taillon pitched six innings of one hit ball and Indianapolis topped Louisville Altoona held off Richmond 4-2. Stetson Allie hit his second home run and drove in three..
