The BlueClaws jumped out to an early lead with a two-run second, but the Power evened the score in the fourth on RBI base hits by Jerrick Suiter and Kawika Emsley-Pai. Lakewood led 5-3 after six before West Virginia took its only lead of the day with a three-run top of the seventh. Jordan Luplow doubled in Elvis Escobar and Michael Suchy hit a two-run homer to push the Power ahead 6-5. The Claws pinned a blown save on Julio Vivas in the seventh to tie the game. In the 11 th, Lakewood tallied the winning run on a single, a two-base throwing error and a single down the third base line to take the walk-off win. Nick Neumann was tagged with his first loss of the season. SOME LIKE IT HOT: Between Tuesday and Wednesday s games, the Power and BlueClaws played a total of seven extra innings. The BlueClaws had the winning run on the bases in each of those seven innings, but the Power bullpen managed to get out of each inning except the last one.
