Pollock reached base more than once for Reno, going 2-for-4. That s Offensive: In the first two games of this series, the River Cats and Aces have combined for 22 hits and five runs...in the regular season, a total of 606 runs were scored at Raley Field (8.42/game), while 938 were scored at Aces Ballpark (13.03/game)...that s a difference of 332 total runs and 4.61 runs per game. Uncle Jesse: Sacramento RHP Jesse Chavez blanked the Aces in eight innings of work last night, striking out 10...he retired the first 17 batters he faced...allowed his first base-runner with two outs in the sixth inning... was making just his second start of the season for the River Cats...struck out eight in six innings in his first start on 9/1, allowing just one earned run. Personnel Matters: The River Cats have added RHP Shawn Haviland and deleted RHP Dan Straily from their active roster...straily has been recalled by Oakland, replacing the injured RHP Brandon McCarthy...Haviland was transferred from Double-A Midland...has gone 6-8 with two saves, a 4.80 ERA, 104 strikeouts and 47 walks in innings pitched with the RockHounds this season...had a short stint with Sacramento in 2010 in his first taste of Triple-A baseball...made one start, giving up five runs two earned in 3.1 innings on 6/20 against Salt Lake.
