4 Michael Rogers Job Interview Q: What made you want to get a job? A: To keep busy and to bring in extra money. Q: What do you do at your job? A: A bunch of different things each time I go. Make chocolate, put chocolate in containers, and check for expiration dates. Q: How do you get along with the people you work with? A: Very well. Q: Does this type of work interest you? A: Yes, because I like chocolate! Q: What part of the job do you like most? A: I like it all. Q: What s the most challenging part of your job? A: That s easy! It s catching the chocolate off the conveyor belt into containers. The other day I wasn t moving fast enough to catch the chocolate so they moved me to another area. Q: Do you have to wear a uniform? If so, what does it look like? A: I have to wear a coat that looks like a lab coat, a hair net, rubber gloves, and a beard net. The best part is that I don t have to wear steel toed boots. Q: Is hard working third shift? A: Sometimes, but it s not bad. Q: How does it make you feel to have a job? A: Proud and achieved because I ve been looking for a job for 5 years. Cold Weather Reminders Don t forget to prepare your car! Keep your gas tank full to avoid ice in the tank and fuel lines. Use a wintertime formula in your windshield washer. Prepare a winter emergency kit to keep in your car in case you become stranded. (Include blankets, food and water, cables, tire pump and a bag of sand of cat litter (for traction), a map, flashlight, battery-powered radio, extra batteries and a first-aid kit.) Follow these safety rules if you become stranded in your car. Stay with your car unless safety is no more than 100 yards away, but continue to move arms and legs. Stay visible by putting a bright cloth on the antenna, turning on the inside overhead light (when engine is running), and raising the hood when snow stops falling. Run the engine and heater only 10 minutes every hour. Keep a downwind window open. Make sure tailpipe is not blocked.

December 2017 Sub Incentives Christian Braisted Katrina Brown Rebecca Ferrulli Ashley Hogan Mikaela Hunter Felicia Maines Angel Moore Sandy Vanzile Marie Wasielewski Veronica Watson Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas. It forms naturally from the decay of radioactive elements, such as uranium, which are found in different amounts in soil and rock throughout the world. Radon gas can move into the air and into underground water and surface water. Being exposed to radon for a long period of time can lead to lung cancer. Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among non-smokers. Overall, radon is the second leading cause. Radon is responsible for about 21,000 deaths every year. About 2,900 of these deaths occur among people who have never smoked. The American Lung Association and National Cancer Institute are in agreement that radon is a worldwide health problem and encourage radon testing during National Radon Action Month. For more information about radon and radon testing, see:
