Chase Away the Winter Blues Dance Sat., January 21, 2012 Shepard Auditorium at Pinkerton Academy Derry, NH Route 93 to Exit 5. Go south on Rt. 28 to traffic lights at Hood Plaza.Turn left onto Tsiennetto Rd. and take first right onto Pinkerton Rd. The school is on the left about a half mile down. OR Take Route 93 to Exit 4. Go east on Rt. 102 (Broadway) through Derry, past golf course on right, to rotary. Go 3/4 around rotary onto Rt. 28 Bypass north. Pinkerton is on left. 6:45 7:30 pm Cha Cha Lesson with Maria Brown, Paper Moon Dance Center 8:45 Showcase by Paper Moon Dance Center 7:30 11:00 pm General dancing to music by Joe Butera, DJ Bottled water available. Complimentary ice, coffee and desserts. You may bring your own beverages and snacks, however alcohol and smoking are not allowed. Please make reservations by 7:00 pm on Thur., Jan. 19th! Late reservations and admissions at the door: $2.00 additional PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Greetings friends of NHABDA: Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! I can t believe we are in the Holiday Season. I ve seen both my daughters, yay! No snow, but there is plenty of winter left. We had another nice cozy dance at Pinkerton Academy with approximately 90 dancers. The room was quite festive with the decorations and people s attire. We had Mr. Jonathan Barbeau as our D.J. He also taught us the West Coast Swing. He and his partner did a nice mini-showcase. We will be having Mr. Jonathan back in February. Thank you as always to everyone who helps with set-up, decorations, food, coffee, water and tickets/reservations. It does take a team to put a dance together. Thank you team! Thank you to everyone who attends the NHABDA dances. This is why we do it, to have a place for everyone to enjoy dancing. December Outreach was at Huntington in Nashua. We had a good representation with 6 couples. The residents enjoyed it and were quite thankful. It was David s and my first time attending Outreach. It was a lot of fun to see the joy that we all brought to the residents. Huntington even gave a nice donation to NHABDA. Next Outreach will be Sunday, January 15th at Villa Crest on Hanover Street in Manchester. Contact Joyce Wilson if you are at all interested in participating. She will explain what happens and all you need to do. NHABDA s next dance will be Chase Away the Winter Blues on Sat., January 21st, at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH with Joe Butera providing the music as our D.J.
